Not sure how long this bonus will be offered considering the Rose Bowl is today and also not sure how strict their lending criteria is. If anybody applies, share your experiences below. Has anyone had any issue getting this bonus? I met the spending requirement within 90 days of receiving the card but they are claiming the spend had to be within 90 days of being approved. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Not sure, but it’s a no annual fee card, so you can just leave it open indefinitely.

Think it’s generally better for your credit score to leave it open, more unused credit, longer age of accounts

Finally received all 55000 points this month. What’s the best value redemption? Statement credit?

Has anyone had either portion of the bonus post yet? Wondering what type of timeline is typical.

Yes, I got the first 10,000 points this statement period and will get the rest by the 15th of next month

I received this email today:

Congratulations, you earned your 55,000 bonus points!

You reached $500 in purchases! Your account has automatically been credited 10,000 bonus points. The remaining 45,000 bonus points will be credited to your account next month by the 15th. Combined, they get you $550 in rewards!

I was declined. Okay. But they’ve sent me 5 adverse actions letters, all identical, all on different days. Did this happen to anyone else? I don’t think this is actionable but it is annoying.

Lol yes, my wife got shot down (she’s a homemaker and they wouldn’t count my income for her).
It was kind of amusing to keep getting mail for her. Yup, all identical.

So I got the card and already met the $500 spend and I’m looking at the rewards activity and I see the 5000 first spend bonus and after that another 5000 spend bonus all pending for now. I know one of those is because the ducks won and you get an extra 5000 points but the other one I think is missing a zero unless this whole promotion they only meant 5000 points instead of 50,000 points. I really hope not and I’ll see it pending soon.

First 10,000 bonus rewards points will be applied to your account instantly when you meet the spend criteria. The additional 40,000 bonus points will be applied to your account the month following the spend requirements being met. If the University of Oregon Ducks win the Rose Bowl on 1/1/2020 the second bonus point amount will increase to 45,000 bonus points

Yes I just went back to my screenshots of the offer and read the fine print of the offer. I always overlook that part

Upon reading the fine print it seems they give you 10k points right away and the rest of the 45k points the month after the spent was done.

Were you approved before the 6th? I just called and was told I will get 5k points for my first transaction and 5k points after I spend $500 in 90 days. I applied on the 6th and was approved on the 8th. I don’t really trust the CSR, so I plan to call back.

I got the approval email on the 3rd. That’s exactly how my points posted in my activity page also.

if anyone is having problems registering at the URL provided with the credit card (that is if you haven’t got your CU Membership number yet) when it comes, here’s an alternative URL for registering your card for online access:

My father applied on Monday and was rejected the next day. Given that you applied before him, and haven’t gotten rejected yet, unless it got lost, you presumably at least cleared the first hurdle. I would wait a few more days and contact them. As long as you applied before the 6th you should be fine.
