- They are also offering an additional $50 bonus if you make at least one transaction on an SB1 visa credit card. We wouldn’t recommend this though as you can get much higher cash sign up bonuses on other credit cards.
The Fine Print
- Available to new members only
- You’ll need to open an SB1 membership and savings account, which has a $5 minimum requirement
- Rewards will be credit the first week after 90 days of required activity.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
SB1 offers a free checking account that that does not have any monthly fees or minimums. There is no early account termination fee mentioned in their fee schedule.
Our Verdict
This bonus has quite a small footprint and we don’t know a lot about it. Because of that I would be hesitant to recommend it to anybody. If you have any experiences with this bonus or bank, please share them in the comments below.
