Our Verdict
Pretty good bonus as it’s a soft pull with no direct deposit requirement or monthly fees to worry about. Shame that you can’t fund with a credit card, that being said I’d still recommend it if you live within the service area. I’ve added it to the list of bonuses we recommend, you can view that list by clicking here.

Has anyone had any luck getting this to post? This hasn’t shown up in my account, and in addition I’m also getting charged a minimum balance fee despite the account terms. When I called customer service I was told that they’d look into it and get back to me (which of course hasn’t happened). This is one of the most painful openings I’ve had…
Does 12 Amazon gift card reloads work for the requirements? Thanks
I have not tried Amazon gift card reloads yet.
But I have triggered it using Circle, Square, and an old RedBird that I never got around to converting to a Serve [one of the few times my procrastination turned out beneficial]
This is probably generally applicable to all Kas*** branded accounts across CUs.
Thanks! I will try circle as well.
I opened a Parkside Credit Union Kasasa Cash Back account in the past (Middle of 2015).
– No Hard Credit Inquiry
– Yes ChexSystems Inquiry
– No EWS Inquiry
– One Kasasa Cash Back account per person is enforced
Is credit card funding allowed?
No credit card funding available.
Thanks, updated post.
Thanks, Don! Added to the post.
*Hard Credit Inquiry Warning (Possible)*
– I verified that I received no hard credit inquiry (Middle of 2015)
But I recently signed my wife up for (Credit Karma and FreeCreditScore.com) and noticed she did have a hard credit pull (March 2016) Experian.
I’m not sure if the backend process changed at Parkside, or if we followed a different frontend process for signup.
Sorry if anyone got hit.
Thanks, updated post.
