Regular earn is 5% back toward your next purchase. With this deal you’ll earn 10% back toward a future purchase.

The Fine Print

  • Valid today only, June 26, 2024offer is valid for today only 6/24/2024. Conditions:
  • Offer valid on all purchases, unlimited number of transactions, payment must be made using your Pepper Rewards account to qualify.
  • Deal cannot be combined with other offers.
  • Bonus points will be awarded on July 15th directly into your Pepper account.

Our Verdict

Wow, 10% back on Amazon, on top of regular credit card points is awesome! I usually just add Pepper deals as updates to our original review on Pepper. This one certainly deserves its own post. I’d recommend buying quickly in case they run out. You can buy up to $1,500 per transaction.

I have a bunch of Amazon already stockpiled, but I’ll still probably buy up some more. Use your Amex Business Gold  to earn 4x if it’s one of your top two categories or use a card with a bonus for Online Shopping. Or just use your regular daily driver credit card.

The 5% back  you can immediately use to buy more Amazon gift cards (or whatever else you  want to buy); the bonus 5% we’ll have to wait until July 15th to get. (New members who signup with a referral code always get 10% on all gift card purchases for 15 days; I’m unsure if they’ll get 15% with this  deal; let us know if you try.)

My thanks if you enter my signup code 584255 during the initial signup process. No referral links or references in the comments below, please.

I’m missing something. If I go to do a $100 order, it says I’ll earn 8000 points, which is $4 worth of points. Even with the doubling offer for new signups (I don’t see the double points offer highlighted here), that’s 8%, not 10%.

I signed up but don’t see the double points offer. I guess that the double points for new members does not stack with the double points offer for Amazon today.

I signed up as new user when this deal came out. I got the initial 5% and another 5% after 15th day from signup. I did not get the extra 5%.

I signed up for this today. Not bad with the cc rewards. I will use this over time. I signed up with Charles code (I hope) In the app it said promo code and I used your number. I hope that gives you credit? Was that the right place Chuck? An added note what I really value about this blog is your verdict/opinion on deals. You are always right on the money if something has value or is marginal depending on your situation. Just wanted to add that.

It says you earn 10% back, but then the points you earned are worth less (e.g I earned 2k points on a $20 purchase and it says they’re worth $1). Am I missing something?

Amazon should let you buy Amazon stock with giftcard balances 🙂

That would be against SEC laws and terms. Same would be to allow credit points directly. Indirectly via schwab cash out or similar, yes.

Anybody with past experience of holding onto these for a few weeks? (prime day)…I always get nervous of having unused gift cards as I’ve had some liquidated by someone else. How secure are amazon gift card codes?

put them in your account, then they are secure.

Maybe not. I knew someone got blocked by Amazon and never get back remaining account balance. It’s risky buying expensive items purely with GC/account balance.

Agreed. I had my Amazon account hacked and the gift card balance liquidated despite immediately catching it. Amazon CS was completely incompetent and I spent two months trying to get my account unlocked and restored before I finally gave up.

That person should have filed a small claims suit against Amazon. Do people give up that easily. First formal complaints to state atty generals, then as a last resort a small claims suit including court costs.
