Regular earn is 5% back toward your next purchase. With this deal you’ll earn 10% back toward a future purchase.
Our Verdict
You are limited to buying one Uber and one UberEATS gift card. The highest amount to purchase in one transaction is $1,500 of each Uber and UberEATS, so you can get up to $3,000 with this deal. Use your Amex Business Gold to earn 4x if it’s one of your top two categories or use a card with a bonus for Online Shopping. Or just use your regular daily driver credit card.
The 5% back you can immediately use to buy more gift cards; the bonus 5% we’ll have to wait until July 22nd to get. (New members who signup with a referral code always get 10% on all gift card purchases for 15 days; I’m unsure if they’ll get 15% with this deal; let us know if you verified this point.)
Pepper has been offering some nice deals lately, one per day, with no purchase limit. We had Lowe’s at 10% back, then Uber at 15% back, then Amazon at 10% back, then Airbnb at 10% back, and now Uber at 10% back.

How do you apply points when you buy GCs? The plus button is grayed out for me
I received the email and it’s showing 3x in the app but it’s only showing I’ll get 5,000 pts for a $50 gift card which is only 2x.
In fact, 5k points for 50 is only 1x, if you read this article or their term carefully, you will find that they give rest of your points later.
Is anyone else having issues using visa/mc gift cards (bough at OD) with the Pepper app? About 50% of the time, I keep getting ‘Oops. It looks like you failed your cc’s 3D secure challenge. Please try again and be sure to complete the challenge‘.
There’s no security challenge with the gc’s. Used to work fine few weeks ago.
Yes I received that when I tried to use my visa gc as payment.
