The Offer
Plenti reward program which we discussed in depth here, is live now and they have a significant amount of “mediocre” deals for their launch week. A couple that caught my eye were the gift card deals in Rite Aid’s weekly flyer.
- Facebook $25 GC earns 250 Plenti points = $2.5
- Fandango $25 GC earns 250 Plenti points = $2.5
- Kohl’s $50 GC earns 500 Plenti points = $5
- Old Navy $50 GC earns 500 Plenti points = $5
- GAP $50 GC earns 500 Plenti points = $5
- Banana Republic $50 GC earns 500 Plenti points = $5
- Buy 2 Amex GCs earns 500 Plenti points = $5
- It does not specify an amount per card.
None of these are moneymakers, but the Amex GC deal can help subsidize the fees on these cards if you are manufactured spending or needed to get a quick last minute gift for Mom this weekend. The only issue with Amex GCs is inability to directly load Amex for Target and Redbird as mentioned earlier this week.
Plenti also has a credit card that we reviewed here, which will earn you even more Plenti rewards on your purchases. We at DoC believe you would be better suited with other more rewarding credit cards for pharmacies here.
Fine Print
I came across this text in the Rite Aid Flyer:
- Available by next day 6 AM
- Expire in 2 years
- Redeem at a minimum of 200 Plenti points = $2
- 2 offers per card per deal
Rite Aid circular is valid till Saturday May 9th, 2015.
It is extremely easy to sign up for Plenti, you don’t even need to pick up a physical card in store. I downloaded the app and registered within 2 minutes and have a scannable card in my smartphone now (they will still be mailing me a physical card and key tag so I can shove in my sock drawer).
Download Plenti for Android or Apple.
Verdict
I personally sign up for most rewards programs under the sun in hopes that they will be useful or lucrative at some point, though this has led to me having more rewards and loyalties cards in my sock drawer than a blackjack deck in Vegas. While most rewards end up being fairly marginal, my hope are that if Amex is running this program it may help it be useful down the road. This could be a great opportunity if the ability to triple dip down the road with Plenti, Amex Offers, and credit card rewards ever arises. I hope to see more lucrative Plenti deals to come. If you find a good Plenti deal please let us know in the comments or email us.
I find this very interesting. None of these gc deals excite me personally, but it’s good to know that Plenti does gc deals and keep an eye out in the future.
