Point Debit Card To Launch Titan Card, $399 Annual Fee

Popular Point Debit card is planning to launch a Titan version in Spring 2022. The card will have the following features:

  • $399 annual fee
  • Pick your own rewards:
    • 5x (pick two):
      • Rideshare
      • Food delivery
      • Subscriptions
      • Fitness
      • EV charging
    • 3x (pick two):
      • Travel
      • Dining
      • Groceries
      • Entertainment
      • Fashion
    • 1x on all other purchases
  • Priority Pass access for you and a guest
  • TSA PreCheck & Global Entry

Seems like a high annual fee for limited benefits and earning rates. The regular version is popular due to the frequent spend bonuses, it’ll be interesting to see if this version of the card has similar bonuses (or even better).

This is hidden in the Atlas HTML
So shouldn’t it feel thoughtful?
What if, instead of points,
you could collect experiences.
Instead of debt and interest,
you could gain wisdom.
Instead of hiding who you are,
you could share your gifts.
Instead of fearing spending,
you could embrace it.
Atlas is the start
of a new journey, A guide map
to create the most unparalled
spending tool ever conceived.
over the coming days,
we will gradually reveal
the blueprint for Atlas Card,
our flagship product,
featuring an experience that is
thoughtfully designed & engineered
to feel like magic.

William Charles Titan is being replaced with atlascard.com per their email. They had said all Neon holders would get Titan for free for a year, unsure of that now applies to this

The world and the way we live has evolved in the past two years — our lives are more distributed, our adventures are more spontaneous, and we are more online than ever before. Over the past few months, we’ve spent countless hours talking to customers, and reflecting on our own experiences to guide us in shaping the future of PointCard. It became clear that we needed to think from first principles to bring you an experience that goes far beyond simply adding more rewards, a basic metal card, or more airport lounge passes.
Atlas Card is the next evolution of that journey, and we can’t wait to share it with you. Your PointCard Titan reservation will automatically be transferred to Atlas Card. To learn more, check out the new teaser website at atlascard.com and join our private community on Instagram @atlascardhq.

I wonder if it’s processed as a debit card at POS terminals with pin.

Apparently there will be some premium offers that earn at a higher rate than the standard Point card.

Also looks like you need to have a 100k+ income or 10k+ in liquid assets

Sounds like a charge card

It’s a debit card that needs to be loaded with funds before it can be used, not a credit card. So there is no credit check or interest involved. Kinda like Cash App debit card.

Probably only useful for Tesla owners. Do they spend 8000$ per year for EV chargin?

Their rewards are 80%, so 5X is actually 4.25% when you get giftcards. Only amazon and shell are worth using though.

I guess it depends on what you value, because I keep getting 990 points for a $10 Chipotle gift card and I save some money on lunch.

Don’t you get charging for free at Tesla chargers if you own a Tesla?

Model 3 uses .24 kwH/mile and average Supercharger costs $.22 per kwH, so you’re talking $8000 / .22 / .24 = 151,000 miles driven in a year.
