Worked for me, and my Uber One (trial!) membership even stacked such that Uber paid tax and more.

I can confirm this works. The only adjustment here after updating to .edu email is you need to change the order type to pickup in order to see the fees disappear.

Pickup orders always have no fees. The promo is delivery only, $40 minimum

actually the promo terms say there’s a $40 minimum but that doesn’t seem to be enforced

I believe this worked on my account right away. No notification of any kind. All restaurants just show $0 of fees. I did a dummy order and it was just total for food and tax. Thanks DoC!!!!!!!

**use at your own risk**
I changed my email to an EDU email about 2 or 3 weeks ago and still don’t see any fees being waived.
Also, I could no longer use any promotion on my account since that. It just say the promotion can’t be applied when I try to checkout with any promotion applied.

Didn’t work for me. Changed my email from .gmail to .edu and I’m still being charged the exact same fees (for the exact same meal). Even tried to refresh and delete/re-add the meal from scratch.

“It’ll take a few days to get the e-mail saying the promotion is activated and this is truly no fees (you just pay tax + tip)”

Does this also work for existing Postmates accounts that already have an .edu email? How about for people who sign up for Postmates with a .edu email? TIA.  William Charles

Is there an easy way to become a “student” and get an .edu email?

Sign up for a class at a community college near you?

Easiest way is to give me your “full legal name” and “driver’s license number” and I’ll get you a “student” e-mail. I’ll even do it for free!

Can confirm Nigerian Prince is totally legit. He even added me to his will, and I’m now next in line to receive $30 million!
