Buyer beware: bought 4 of these a few years ago, sat on them for about a year then tried to use them, only to find out they had been used by others. PP and SW offered no help in trying to figure out how others got a hold of the codes and didn’t offer any reimbursement. After pressing hard, a SW agent told me that each of the 4 cards was used by a completely different person in unrelated itineraries. I still don’t know how this happened. I have mfa on email and most accounts where it’s offered. My suspicion is that PPDG resold the same cards to different people but wouldn’t admit to it.
I bought some PPDG SW cards in 2017 and a year later they nuked their system and I could not look up the card numbers. If you buy anything PPDG, documents all the card info offline as there is no guarantee it will be kept any length of time for retrieval. PP refused all attempts to assist and it was only Ebay (through whom I’d bought them) who was even willing to help despite Ebay NOT being at fault in any way. This is definitely a situation where the issuer (Southwest) letting you hold the card info in their system (https://www.doctorofcredit.com/list-of-merchant-gift-cards-which-can-be-loaded-into-your-account/) would be beneficial. Sadly I don’t know if SWA does this.
Does this work with the Amex Platinum $30 paypal credit?
PPDG triggered for me on a different GC

Exactly same happened with me.

I suppose you could buy a flight and then cancel it. But then you’d have to use the credit within 365 days.
