Priority Pass No Longer Has Maple Leaf Lounge At Newark Airport (EWR)

As of March 5th, 2019 the Maple Leaf lounge at Newark Airport (EWR) is no longer available to Priority Pass members. Last year the Maple Leaf lounge at LaGuardia Airport was also removed. We always post when new Priority Pass options are added, but I do think it’s equally important to make note of when lounges leave the program as well. I’m not entirely sure why this lounge has left the program, if any readers know then please let us know in the comments.

Unfortunate. We just got to use the lounge last week for a 6am WN flight. We try not to fly out of EWR but we occasionally have to. We enjoyed our quick visit, the oatmeal was good and they had a Lavazza espresso machine. We missed our breakfast at the hotel so this was nice.

Unfortunate when flying WN or B6 out of there. Wasn’t great but it was somewhere to sit in a terminal otherwise without anything.

It is pretty bad anyway. I have been there twice, both times their machine had issues scanning the card. The staff is not welcoming, the food is horrible. I won’t miss it a bit.

I agree, it’s a mediocre lounge

This leaves EWR with…virtually no viable PP options–since the two remaining options in Terminal B are constantly at capacity or restrictive with entry rules.

Does not surprise me at all. It only allowed entrance until 3pm if I remember correctly and the lounge was full constantly

It was pretty empty when I went last week at 8 AM.

That was my experience one month ago. I was flying Air Canada though (which gives you access), so after Art & Lounge, all I wanted to do was take a look and see the difference. Just as packed as the other limited options in EWR.
