- Brex cuts 20% of staff amid reports of stalled growth, high burn by Tech Crunch.
- Looks like the Amex Delta Resy credit works for purchasing gift cards at Resy restaurants (without a reservation) per Anthony Venture’s YouTube
- C1 Offers recently updated their terms so that payment with a C1 card is no longer required. Great, I thought, and made a purchase on GC.com using a new CIU. When that purchase did not track, I called C1 and was met with a nasty surprise — C1 Offers has a secret policy, which appears nowhere in the terms, not to investigate missing cashback if you paid with a non-C1 card, even though they admit that this is now permitted. They will only help if you paid with a C1 card. An offer to submit a proof of purchase was rebuffed.
- Hilton FNC seems to have a strict 2 week extension policy now. If American Express is the one enforcing this I’m assuming they don’t pay for any unused certificates.

Online GCs work for resy credit?
Even in Manhattan, there are few *attractive* restaurants on the Resy platform. Easy for Amex to add as a credit if few people will use it.
Im still confused. How exactly do you use the Resy Credit. Do you book in app, eat at the restaurant, pay through resy? I still dont understand the gift card thing as well.
The Amex terms say just use the card at a Resy restaurant (I assume any one that you can find and reserve on Resy). For example I’m going to dinner at a place tonight I made a reservation with through Resy. I’ll pay using my delta plat and in a couple weeks I’ll expect the $10 credit.
I tried it at a restaurant on the Resy platform a few days after it was announced and spent $19, two days later $10 was credited back. I did not make a reservation or pay through Resy.
Re: Brex news… makes me wonder how Bilt is really doing
Re: Brex — Couldn’t happen to nicer people. I’m still p.o.’ed about their forced closure of my SMB account. If I were a better person, I guess I should also say “thanks for all the fish.”
Capital One offers was crappy before, now it’s even crappier. Their merger with Discover will increase the poo factor by 10.
