- Shameful: Marriott Hotel Uses 1872 Law To Bonvoy Guest Out Of $8000 by MtM. These sorts of limits should auto adjust with inflation. Pathetic that Marriott doesn’t have proper systems in place to avoid this sort of theft in the first place and then doesn’t adequately compensate guests when it does happen.

It really Hertz to get Bonvoyed.
It really Hurts to get Bonvoyed.
Just take a selfie with the return agent, make sure location tagging is on, and immediately upload that photo to social media tagging Hertz (which gives you incontrovertible proof of timestamp).
Regardless if this is a joke or serious, it says folds about how low Hertz has sunk that this statement can even be conceived
I actually do this
Marriott Bonvoyed is not a “loyalty” program anymore. They destroyed any value and goodwill it had from SPG.
It is beyond me why anyone would rent from hertz. The ceo said it only happened a couple of times so don’t worry:)
I do it because of my company’s CDP code but I’m starting to find Avis equally as competitive lately.
And ^this. People are cheap. Their brains stop there and fail to continue on to “but on the .1% chance I win the Hertz Arrest Lottery and this decisions ruins my life maybe I should pay $200 more for my car from another place.”
0.1% I can bail myself out and meet my MSR 😀
Any company that doesn’t arbitrarily get its customers arrested is MORE competitive than Hertz.
But they had President’s Circle STATUS! How can they say no to showing off their car rental status?!
A company that’s on top not foreseeing the days they’ll need their customers.
