I’d like to continue my prime membership but I don’t see the option of paying with amazon gift card so i gave up. I thought before someone mentioned that you could pay membership fee with gift card balance, but i guess they changed the rule?

You can’t technically pay for your membership with a gift card. However, you should be able to purchase the “gift of prime” using your gift card balance. Then, use the gift of prime for yourself.

Really? How? Do i have to use a different name for this to work or can just use my own name and they don’t care? Thanks for your help!

Amazon Student has been 6 months Prime for free for many years now (A long time ago it was a full year free). After that, they offer $50/year for a little while before making you prove your current student status with a transcript or schedule. IIRC, Amazon Student has all of the benefits of Prime including video and music streaming except it has no household sharing.

You can get 4 years out of it before they want anything more than a .edu email. I still have my college email address and I just set myself as graduating 4 years from the time I signed up. It was only at the end of those 4 years that they asked me to provide a transcript to keep the discount going.
