AMEX annual fee at all time high as well
Been swearing off the coupon books, but got a 160k offer…ok fine Amex, you got me again.
Only a matter of time before the bottom falls out when retention offers stop
Retention stops, amex loses customers. the coupon book is not too attractive for too long
The coupon book has never been attractive, except to amateurs and to content creators trying to exploit amateurs for affiliate commissions. This community is neither a microcosm for the mainstream average Amex cardholder nor their attrition.
Clearly, the highly coveted Equinox and Saks credits are doing all the heavy lifting for Amex.
All a question of who pays whom. Notice that the international versions with no credits have higher annual fees. Newspapers don’t pay Nabisco to include a coupon for a discount on Oreos.
Newspapers don’t pay Nabisco for anything, ever. What’s your point?
