Redeem Discover Cashback for Nike Gift Cards at 25% Discount

The Offer

  • Buy Nike gift cards at a 25% discount when redeeming Discover cash back

The typical discount  on Nike is 20% ($50 for $40), but they now have a special offer to get 25% off and get a $20 denomination card for just $15.

Our Verdict

Check out this primer post on maximizing Discover cash back. Basically, the best options typically are buying Staples or Nike gift cards at 20% off. With this current special, it’s an extra 5% off, albeit with a smaller denomination card.

Remember, as noted in the above post, it’s possible to automatically extract the e-codes from the Discover system using the Demflyers trick, so having more cards isn’t so bad.

We don’t know when this offer will end, just that it’s a “limited time offer.” I’d be jumping on this offer if I had serious cash back with Discover now. Unfortunately, I have less than $100 to redeem.

I’ve been trying to buy some of these, but when I add them to my cart as E-gift cards, and then hit Continue, on the next page they switch to being physical cards and it won’t let me re-select the E-card option. Anyone else having this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks!

Looks like this is probably over. I can only buy them at $40 for $50.

As of 11AM EST, it’s still showing as available in my account. Make sure you select “Nike-Special” instead of the regular “Nike”.

Is eGC instantly available from Discover redemption? Tried to sell an eGC to CardPool but got invalid # error msg right after redemption… The order status in Discover Redemption History is still showing as InProcess…

I got the same error. In CardPool FAQ i found the minimum order amount is $25. Error may be due to Nike’s special order of $20 that fall below min order amount of $25.

BTW, how soon one get fund from CardPool on successful completion of sale order?

Thanks! I’d been slowly redeeming my doubled cash back from last year in hopes of opportunities like this.

Thanks. Had $75 in rewards points that I redeemed for $100 in Nike GC. I was able to sell them for $84 for a $9 bonus.

Did you just buy multiple $20 and sell those each individual?

Correct

That is $1.80 per giftcard. Can you share how I could replicate. I have over $1000 to liquidate and I was waiting until I could find a way to get more than 1 cpp. $1.80 per $15 is a 12% bonus. I’m in for a little bit of work for an extra $120.

It looks like the buyer at $16.80 is cardcash and electronic submission requires that you accept a mailed check. I’m trying to do some research on cardcash here on DoC, but everything I find is for buying and not selling. Also, there were some poor reviews for buyers. What about for sellers?

I’ve sold lots of GCs to ABC, which is the same company as Cardcash. I’ve been very happy with their prompt payments (unlike Giftcardzen, which takes 3-4 weeks).

I just did this a few days ago with about $800 in cash back. ABC required a photo ID and my receipt from Discover to prove the cards were legitimate
