Florida residents beware; I was told at the branch that your business MUST be registered with Sunbiz in order to apply for a business account with Regions, even if your business is a sole prop. and uses your SSN. This was confirmed by the regional manager that this is Regions’ policy. I recently opened a business account with Chase in Florida without being registered with Sunbiz; no problem. I would really like this account since it seems so easy to get the bonus but I am reluctant to spend more time on this bank. Has anyone from Florida been able to get this account opened without their business being registered on Sunbiz?

Any idea if credit card funding still works if you open the account via phone call? I live in a city with multiple branches but don’t have the option of opening online

How do we open this online? Is there anyway at all? I signed up via referral and was told to call.

will the bonus for this biz be given if presently having a personal chkg acct open?

thx will, noted the following condition under fine print and thought to verify:

This Reward Card offer is not available if the referred Business already has a Regions checking account…

it could likely mean an existing biz chkg acct, not personal’s

This can be fixed.

Will – can you add this link to the post:

https://www.regions.referlive.com/register.aspx

This will allow anyone to set up the Refer Live page for referring a business, plus get $50 when the business opens the account.

Make sure the business uses the same email address you use in the referral.

Also, according to this link:

http://www.regions.com/virtualdocuments/Business_Pricing_Schedule.pdf

there is a $25 early termination fee if closed within 180 days.
