Our Verdict
You may know Regions already for the frequent checking account bonuses they offer. Regions Bank products are available to those in the following states: AL, AR, FL, GA, IL, IN, IA, KY, LA, MS, MO, NC, SC, TN & TX.
We once posted about a premium card from Regions which had a $125 annual fee; I’m unsure if that card is still around. Their Cash Rewards and Prestige cards have no annual fee and the added benefit of 0% APR on purchases for 12 months. The other card had some obscure deposit requirement, let us know if you bump into any issues like that with these cards; hopefully you can get this card with no strings attached.
Looks like a nice offer with easy spend requirement and will interest a lot of readers. This is a personal card which will affect your 5/24 status, so keep that in mind. We’ll add this to our list of Best Current Credit Card Signup Bonuses.
Hat tip to reader private
On the “Best Current Credit Card Sign Up Bonuses & Offers” page, this appears in the “Business Card Bonuses” section. But as far as I can tell, this is a personal card, yes?
Fixed, thanks
From start to finish, this was a hassle. Been churning for a long time, and this will be the first and last time I bank with Regions. No online tracker to see progress towards bonus, CS is clueless with different answers depending on who you speak with, they took far past the advertised time to actually pay out the $200 bonus, and to top it off… you can only redeem points in $25 increments, so even though you may have ~21700 points when all is said and done, the max you can cash out for a MAILED CHECK is $200, with ~1700 remaining (ended up getting a $10 Walmart gift card and $5 Amazon gift card; forfeited the extra points because they were unredeemable)
I received this offer a year ago and don’t remember any problems. P2 is about to get it and I’ll report back. Also, the tracker is at https://offertracker.regions.com/.
I have a bad DP.
I know this is not the most popular CC option, but thought I would post this for those (like me) who are lol (and given up on Chase) and sometimes searching for halfway decent CC offers.
I used the card for a bank opening deposit. It was never coded as a cash advance and went through fine. However, without the $500, I was under $1000, and Regions decided to count this as what they have termed “quasi-cash”, and so not meeting the spend requirement. My other purchases did make it so I qualified for $100. Further, they actually never awarded the points I did earn within their own terms’ deadline (a month late), and without having any other way of knowing until it was past 90 days, it meant I was screwed.
This was a new one for me and there was nothing in the terms that addressed this (or even used the term “quasi-cash”), but I won’t pursue it further. I already wasted a huge amount of time with their terrible CS (numerous chats and phone numbers, much of which was pointless) and just prefer to leave this one as a loss. However, I would note both that opening deposits won’t count for spend, and that Regions can be thorny to deal with, even a bit seedy.
Thanks for posting this. The Regions card with the $200 SUB will be my backup option when I run out of more lucrative offers to pursue.
I was pre-approved for a while, but had to wait for better timing for a larger upcoming purchase. Application wouldn’t complete on line though. I had to call the branch and have them process it.
I’m not really doing it for the ongoing rewards. I needed the $200 bump and the 12 months 0% for this bill. Once I get that taken care of, this card might not get used much. But I had run out of other cards to chase, so this was low hanging fruit.
I used to value a HP at $200 when I first started churning. Call me spoiled but I wont get out of bed for anything less that Net $400 between bonus/spend profits…All that to say that if I was still at the beginning of this journey this would be a decent option with the 12 months APR free and bonus
Sorry, but, why is this even a post?

if not interesting to you, just move on. Last paragraph:
> Looks like a nice offer with easy spend requirement and will interest a lot of readers
I doubt it. The veteran readers here look for much more lucrative offers.
https://apply.regions.com/creditcards/
they have a soft-pull pre-approved tool is prob the only thing worth mentioning in the post I suppose?
Wish I’d have known before I applied XD
Because it’s useful for some people

Chuck dont make him feel unwelcome when he comes about to talk. It is already rare we love u chuck
Application went pending. No surprise if denied, though I have an existing relationship with regions, so we’ll see.
Approved instantly. No other debt on credit reports besides mortgage.
Wow big whoop.
