I wanted to share this stacking opportunity for anyone who is participating in the above deal, or anyone that participated in previous rite aid gift card deals recently (a few weeks ago, there was a $12 rewards from $100 Best Buy gift card deal at rite aid, so many of us should/may still have $24 (could do 2x) in wellness rewards sitting around; heads up, they expire after 30 days or so, I believe!) One annoying thing about the following stack, is that you have to go on two different days to do it properly. Essentially you want to build your wellness rewards balance up via the gift card deals, then go back on a different day (when you can actually use them; it has to be a day later, unfortunately) and use them as follows.
In my case, I had $24 in wellness rewards from the previous best buy deal, and also obtained another $10 from the netflix offer above, and $8 from the macy's offer above. First of all, you want to split your gift card purchases as best as possible to make use of the multiple chase offers (5 or 10% back, link within DoC's post) you probably have. For instance, if you only want one netflix and one macy's, split tender $40 and $35 so that you're maxing out your chase offers. If you want two macy's and one netflix, split tender $40, $40, $45; you get the idea.
Ok, once you have all the gift cards you want, you have to go back (again, on a different day; this deal ends Sunday, by the way) and can use the rewards you just earned efficiently as follows. On the front page of the weekly ad, there is a coupon for $10 rewards after $40 spend, so you're going to want to get to $40 in grocery items (some exclusions; can't do milk, gift cards, cigs, rx, etc). Also within the ad, there is an offer to spend $15 in cereal/chips (each is 2 for $5; not a terrible price), and get $4 in rewards back, which can be done twice. So, essentially you want to get $30 of items from here; choose whatever cereal/chips you like/might need for a party later. The other $10 in grocery you need (again, we're trying to make $40), you can get whatever, but personally, I utilized another deal within the ad, buy one get one viva paper towels (which were $13.50 each) at my store; getting me over the $40 threshold. There's other decent offers within the ad to get to $40.
There's also several coupons that you can 'load' to your wellness card online at https://www.riteaid.com/load2card/. In particular, there was a $2 off coupon for the viva paper towels, and a $1 off of cereal that I was able to use. So, all told, you're "spending" ~$40 (I put $40 in quotes, because any rewards you obtained from the gift cards will apply; I didn't pay anything) and you're getting back $10 (weekly ad coupon) + $4 x2 (chips/cereal) = $18 back in rewards, which you can use to get whatever you want (more paper towels, I don't know). Anyway, hope this helps others out that are also caught in the rite aid wellness rewards trap like me.
@will Hate to see this post buried within the offer comments, as I think it's a pretty good stack; Not sure if it warrants an updated post or not. Whatever you decide is fine.
