(Rumor, Update) Chase INK Preferred To Offer 120,000 Signup Bonus Soon

Update 2: Apparently this will be in branch only on June 23rd and then online starting July 3rd.

(Update: Folks found a link already showing the 120k offer. This somewhat substantiates the idea that this is an upcoming public online offer. I would be very careful using this link and just wait for a public link)

Rumors are swirling that on June 23rd Chase will increase the signup bonus on the INK Preferred card from 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points to 120,000 points. The spend will remain the same at $8,000, per the rumor.

The 100,000 offer with the recently lowered $8,000 spend requirement was awesome to begin with. This rumored increase brings it next level.

And this is all-the-while referrer bonuses are still at 40,000 points until September. We don’t know if the rumored new offer will be available via referral. It might be available or it might be possible to get a match.

I put some credence in the rumor given that the June 23rd date mentioned lines up with other Chase changes happening at that date. Still, even if true, it’s entirely possible that the 120,000 offer will a branch offer or targeted offer, etc. We’ll have to wait to see if we can find out more.

Anyone know if this is live? Will referrals work for the 120k bonus + 40k referral?

What did you put as your monthly spend estimate and business revenue?

Opened CIC on May 05 and already hit the spend requirement. I understand that 3 month should be a safe velocity but would it be wise to go for the CIP on July?

The risk is fairly low but the consequences are high.

Your marginal gain vs the CIU/CIC isn’t that big. The 120k offer might still be around in August anyway.

Chase is the very last milk cow I’d gamble with but it’s a judgement call.

Personally, I am applying every 90-days or more for 1 card (personal or business) with Chase. That keeps me under 5/24 and provides space for applying at other banks. One wants to avoid raising red flags and ruffling feathers at an important bank like Chase, and a potential freeze and review. In the end, it is your call. Good luck!

Like Karl said, you can probably wait until August or later to apply for this offer.

Given today is the day the offer was rumored to be available in-branch, has anyone been able to confirm the120k SUB for 8k MSR is now active in branch?

I just called my branch here. They confirmed it’s showing them 120K now.

As opposed to this past Thursday when it was showing 100K.

So yes, it’s active.

Is it possible to use a referral link when signing up in branch?

My spend period will end on July 3rd. Should I send an SM before the public link is available or should I wait until the very last minute on July 3rd when the public link is available and send them an SM to match it?

Do not send an SM before the public link is available. It’s been tried and all it did was kill the unofficial links.

Got it. Thanks for that! Will wait until public link is available before sending an SM.

Ink Cash is still better if you are churning, and do OD/OM VGC’s.

Yeah but trying to liquidate $200 VGC can be time consuming with MO.

can you send a CIP referral if you dont have a biz/ink card?

No. You need an Ink to send a referral for an Ink. However, it can be any type of Ink. For example, if you have a Chase Ink Cash, your referral link will still work for someone applying to the Chase Ink Preferred.

Chris Make sure to wait until there is a public link you can match to. It sounds like, from the rumors, that won’t be available until early July.
