Ah fudge, just realized my stars disappeared recently. Any way to find out how much I had before they expired? Starbucks can’t see what stars Chase gave me, only the ones they issued.
I’ll have to call Chase tomorrow and ask for my last statement to see if it displays there. Today is a holiday.
Did anyone get in there Starbucks app a expiration date for their stars?
April 1,2022
Interesting. Mine still shows no expiration.
Same here
My account shows a “WITHDRAWAL” on Nov 22, 2021, for the entire balance, presumably to mail the check. I feel like they should have annotated a reason. I can imagine the CSR’s are going to get some upset callers.
Has anyone been mailed their final check from Chase yet?
Still waiting on check. Anyone else?
Still waiting

Got mine the other day
Same here
So… today’s the day. **pours out some coffee in memoriam** Got 322 stars for my final month’s efforts (which admittedly weren’t that much).
Card is still appearing in my Chase app, funny enough. 🤔 I’d try one last load and unload for giggles, but I don’t want to end up with money stuck on a card that doesn’t work.
Yep, I thought I’d ride it out and it’s still appearing on the app for me. I left some change on mine so we’ll see how long until Chase actually kills it.
The Starbucks app is still showing, “Good news! Since you’re a Starbucks® Rewards Visa® Prepaid Card holder, your Stars don’t expire,” so it might actually still be open.
Same here. Not sure if there is just a delay in the system showing the status or Chase is just taking its time to cancel them. Some people below have stated that reloads have stopped working however.
How long till the stars start expiring?
Supposed to expire 6 months after your account closes though if the Starbucks website still shows that you are a card holder still, I’m not sure…
Anyone still loading with debit?
As often happens my usual debit load stopped working last week (around the same time I got the 400 star SM), when I walked through the wasteful SM/CSR stuff I was told they aren’t letting you load anymore. Checking account can still load, but I can’t load with 3 other debits (2 of which worked in the past)
TIA.
Thank you,
I was kind of relieved to get cut off as it simplifies my life. I can’t leave another month on the table though. Time to gird my loins.
P1, P2,and P3 debit reload have now stopped working in the last few days.
I went to CFPB on 10/8 about my issue, they responded on 10/19 and I was loading again on 10/20.
Usually Chase calls 1-2 business days after filing and than it’s a week +/- a few days. This time the CSR said it was because there was 12k on the card all at once. Previously they’ve come up with a couple others: ”the algorithm’ and ‘system upgrade errors’ are the ones I remember.
You’d still have time to see if they can fix it.
I had a same issue last month. I thought I was done with it but then it started working again 2weeks later and it still works now
Got this in SM from Chase

What happens to the balance on the pre-paid card? Do we have to spend it at before it closes, or is there a way to transfer the funds out to a checking account?
According to Chase, you’ll get a check by default. If you have another Chase checking account, you can ask to have the balanced move to it.
It’d be cool if Chase would send some actual notice of this action to cardholders, but maybe they like to wait until like… the week before.
I got notice today via email and Chase secure message…haven’t seen the most recent paper statement yet…I bet it’s being done based on the end of billing cycles.
Crap I had this for years, but cut it up about 8 months ago cause it was of no use. Should have saved it and got a free 400 stars.
