[Confirmed] Upcoming Chase Sapphire Preferred 100,000 Point Offer

Update 3/19/25: We’ve been able to confirm that the branch offer is coming on March 23rd, per memo sent to Chase bankers. More importantly, a Reddit report indicates that it’ll become available to Chase affiliates on April 3rd for online applications. We don’t know if the offer will ever appear on referral links.

Original Post 3/17/25:

According to a source on reddit who has provided reliable information in the past Chase will launch a Chase Sapphire Preferred 100,000 point bonus in branch starting March 23, 2025. The minimum spend requirement will be $5,000 within three months of account opening.

Independently other outlets have also been told to expect a similar offer to become available sometime after March 23, 2025 (not sure on exact dates). It’s unclear if the offer will eventually become available via referral or not.

Obviously a fantastic offer and we will add it to our list of the best credit card bonuses when the offer launches.

Anyone know the outcome of the Capital One Spark debacle? It incorrectly reported to my personal credit report and pushed me to 5/24. They “fixed” it by saying the account is closed. -_-

Does anyone know if CSP count tax payments count as cash advance or no. I have 8k of payments due and need a good singup cc for churn

Federal tax payments via ACI/Pay1040 are fine for Chase/Amex SUBs. They are considered a purchase.

Wow, I thought signing up with 60k points was good. I guess I did not do my research well.

I’m right under 5/24 coming up in March, but don’t know about MS $5,000. Too bad got a tax refund rather than a tax payment XD.

Look into some bank account bonuses, there are a handful of banks that let you charge thousands for the initial deposit. Heck even if there is no bonus, if you can knock off half or more of the spending with no effort that’s worth it. Just don’t charge $3k as soon as you get the card, or it will be locked up. Gotta ramp up the spend.

Fair. Forgot about the bank bonus synergy. Been denied for the premium cards because of too many cash bonus cards on the last 2 years.

Will give it a spin 🙂

US Bank business checking account always has a nice bonus & allows for $3k initial funding on CC.

Wings FCU used to allowed lots of CC funding
Columbia Bank(might only be NJ though) as well
US Bank Business checking is the best, huge SUB and $3k CC funding.

KIARA,

Idahoan recently asked a very similar question in a different post. Read through our chat starting here for some good info that I provided to them: #2024564 .

You can overpay taxes and get the money back.

You can pay income tax in advance if you are self employed.

Can’t you prepay phone bill, buy supermarket gift cards, gas cards, restaurant cards, on top of normal every day spending, etc?

Is $5k spend normal for these elevated SUBs? Afaicr, CSP always had $4k min spend?

After this promotion ends, they will increase it to 120,000 in a few months. That has been my experience with Chase promotions every time I have gotten this card because of increased bonus.

The best sign-up bonus for this card was 100K for $4,000 spend so I think you’re full of shit. This is the best we are going to get. Check this link for the history.

It was 80,000 last I applied 4 years ago and went to 100,000 a few months later. Easy to check that. And you need to spend time reading and understanding what I said.

I don’t want to talk to you no more, you empty headed animal food trough wiper. I fart in your general direction. Your mother was a hamster and your father smelt of elderberries.

You are right. I was sloppy. I didn’t think people were hanging onto every word of every post and reading between the lines where things were not clear. So, I am reposting for others benefit.

I am not affiliated with Chase and have no insider information.

After this promotion ends, I *believe* they *may* increase it to 120,000 in a few months. That has been my experience with Chase promotions every time I have gotten this card because of increased bonus. Twice I jumped on all time high offers on CSP only to have them increased after a few months to new all-time highs, and they were after 90 days so I did not get a match on the new offer. YMMV

It’s also possible that it will never be this high again. Some people prefer to take the bird in the hand rather than always try for the 2 in the bush!
