The CPC arts and cultural card is/was a digital card since a few years ago. It was much better than the BOA program. I was able to use the physical card when I was traveling to other states. However, once it became a digital card, chase stated that you can only use it at your home location. So I didn’t try to use it in other states since.

Slowly at so-cal, the best museums were removed – and now they are canceling the benefit all together.

Who’s opinion were they listening to?

I just signed up as a Private client two weeks ago and got my materials. When do we get this arts & culture card?

“After listening to feedback to meet our clients’ needs, we’ll no longer offer the Chase Private Client Arts & Culture program after June 30, 2021.”

Hmm… whose feedback did they “listen” to? The Chase executives’? Definitely not mine.

Haven’t even been able to use this benefit over the past year… if the rumor were true it’ll feel like I had lost this since early 2020 🙁

I feel the same way. Never received the card and now they are ending it?

This was like the one cool thing they offered over Sapphire Banking.

Looks like Chase is going down an all too familiar path. I don’t know what they’re going to replace this with but these benefits were quite nice. SoCal used to have 5 locations and now only has 2, the San Diego Zoo 20% discount isn’t worth it as you can get tickets at that discounted rate by buying online.

I see this as a huge downgrade. We’ve made great use of this program.

To those who say the BofA program makes this of less value, I just don’t get that. The Chase program was any day of the month, including weekends. The BofA program is one day a month, in the middle of the week, when it can be difficult to coordinate with work schedules, school schedules and other activities. That’s a huge difference. Plus, at least here in Chicago, the first Tuesday of the month is free at almost all museums anyway. So in addition to making the BofA program largely redundant, on the first Tuesday of the month the museums are swamped with everyone else trying to get in.

While it may be true that most people who have Chase Private Client can afford to pay for admission, I truly visited the museums more because I had this program.

I’d point out that on the opposite end of the spectrum, food stamp (aka SNAP) recipients also get free or reduced admission at many museums.

On vacation years ago, we made good friends with the family of our taxi driver, even living with them in their apartment for a couple of weeks. After hurricane Maria destroyed their home, the mom and two children came to live with us for five months, then they came back a couple years later for a couple more months. We made the rounds of the downtown museums several times. The family was on SNAP, which has free or reduced admission for a certain number of adults and children varying by museum, and the Chase program has its own rules for use at each museum, sometimes covering multiple adults and some not. So at each museum I’d just go to the admissions desk, I’d say “We’re three adults and two children all together. We have this (slapping down our Private Client card) and this (slapping down the SNAP card). How can we best use them?” I always had to chuckle thinking they didn’t often see those two cards used together.

FYI: BoA’s Museums on Us is always the first full WEEKEND of every month, and has never been on a weekday for at least the past 8 years. You’re confusing the museums’ own free days with BoA’s program.

+1 to Vy on the BofA program. The program is actually pretty good since it is the most accessible if you want to do a museum trip with a bunch of family members or friends because you don’t need CPC for it.

You can have any BofA card to access their Museums program which is basically no fee, and you could also just get your friends/family an AU card. Pretty straight forward.

tbh as someone with just barely enough wealth to qualify for cpc this could be be a deal breaker. I was looking into it and value tangible benefits, even if modest. But a safety deposit box just ain’t gonna cut it.

Hopefully they replace this with some other recurring value added benefit.

Yeah it was a nice benefit. What’s the point of private client? A private banker to try and up sell me? Free ATMs are increasingly useless in a cashless world

Hah – if you are lucky enough to get a safe deposit box. Between the long wait lists and most of the branches not even having them period.

For 200K (not 250K), Citigold will give you access to museums, at least for now.

Took advantage of this for a few years at multiple museums in SF, LA, Seattle, Chicago and NY with my family of 4. Saved well over $750, especially from repeated local museum visits in SF.

Too bad they nerfed the participating venues and will now cancel it. Have not been CPC for over 5 years now, so will not miss it personally.
