Chase runs an annual Small Business Week in late April – early May, and this year’s National Small Business Week runs from April 29 – May 5 with Chase as one of the sponsors. It’s a time when there may be increased bonuses on Chase small business credit cards.
Back in 2016, they ran a 70,000 points bonus (with fee waived) on the INK Plus and a $300 bonus on INK Cash. Then in 2017 there were rumors of 100,000 bonus on the Preferred and $500 on Cash, though not much ended up coming of that.
The bank has a regular 100k offer on the Preferred card for those with businesses which have revenues of more than $1M annually who apply with a Business Relationship Manager. Reddit member chanu99 was told my their banker that during Small Business Week the 100k offer would become available for everyone in-branch.
If you Google search ‘Chase small business week’ the top result is a link to this “Special Offers” page which currently errors out.
Chase is currently offering their best-ever offer on the INK Cash card with a $500 online signup bonus, so not much chance of an increase there. Hopefully the 100k Preferred in-branch offer will materialize during small business week. Maybe we’ll even get lucky with an online 100k bonus at that Special Offers link mentioned.
All these offers will still be subject to the 5/24 rule, as well as the ongoing added scrutiny Chase applies to new card applicants, which will knock off most of us from being able to take advantage of these offers.
Does anyone know if I can apply in branch for the 100k offer and use a referral from a friend so that my friend can get the 20k UR points bonus?
I think I once heard that’s possible by giving your friends name to the bankers, but it’s kinda fuzzy in my head now so I might be making it up.
Has there been DPs of BRM-submitted biz CC apps triggering accounts reviews and shutdowns by Chase?
So folks with the legacy Ink Plus card shouldn’t bother applying, right?
Why not?
DP from Small Business Week last year: I walked into my local branch. Told them I was here for the 100,000 Chase Ink Preferred offer. The rep asked if I had any accounts with Chase – no, none. Rep says I can qualify for 50,000 point offer. I asked to speak with a BRM due to their Small Business Week offer. Rep got the BRM on the phone, set up an appointment for me same day. I was under 5/24, had an 820 credit score and my “business” is consulting with gross annual revenue of less than $50,000. I was approved immediately.
Hopefully it will be the same this year.
BRM can always offer 100k points
While speaking with a banker by phone concerning another matter, he confirmed there would be CC offers during the Small Business Week. However, he said in order to apply for the Biz CC, one has to have existing business products (deposit account or other biz CC?). Is that true?
Chase hasn’t done that in the past. That’s more a US Bank thing. Course it could be a new thing they’ll try, but my best guess is that the banker was saying inaccurate information.
Here’s to hoping this won’t be bound by 1/30… I applied for the 50k CIC offer a couple weeks ago
This got me checking and I just realized this very month I dropped to 5/24…but won’t be under for another 8 months when 4 queries drop off around the same time. Been hitting Amex business cards to avoid piling up more hits but it hurts to miss things like this. Any more data points on paper applications for business cards?
Just got a CIP 2 weeks ago. Wonder if they’ll match if I send an SM during this promotion.
Considering an app o Rama this weekend–how is Chase at matching higher offers (current offer is 80K UR points)?
They usually match if it’s been within 90 days. Sometimes it’s a bit odd when the offer is in branch only though
You can submit a paper application for Ink cards in branch. Paper apps bypass 5/24.
Really? Any other data points on this? I’ve never heard of this from any other source. Would be huge if true.
I don’t believe it’s a “rule” but more of a guideline. I was approved last month for a Chase/Disney card online and I’m well over 5/24. Was also approved for Ink in-branch a year or so ago, but don’t know whether the 5/24 “rule” applies to business cards.
