I don’t see it as a Safeway4You offer (just some random gift cards for more points). Where is it usually advertised? I don’t see a sign at my local Safeway about 4x points on GCs on weekends now.
Today is Monday MLK Day, though. So potentially missed it until next weekend (if it indeed works that way).
Yes, it is expired for this week so no longer in the app. When it is available, it will be in the 4U app to be clipped. Usually under events or special offers.
The coupon doesn’t appear in digital coupons until Saturday, then it’s good over the weekend.

Amazon gift cards qualified but not Safeway gift cards
Why do they have this deal on the two days of the week that I avoid going to the grocery store because it’s a madhouse?

Just call the rewards center. If the coupon was clipped and it should have been more points, they should give you no issues fixing it.

Looking for recent DP that GC purchases at Safeway/Jewel code as “grocery”.
I have US Bank Offer (one-time use) activated: 15% back (in-store) only max $20 back at any “grocery” store.
In addition to the J4U 4x unspecified GC offer, I have 8x Zift Zillions exp 1/11/25 and 10x Macy’s exp 1/7/25.
Just used my SYW card at Jewel for a gift card at the end of the year and it coded as grocery. Also used my US Bank offer at Jewel for a gift card that coded as grocery for a spend $75, get $10 offer.

Dunno about US Bank, but it codes as grocery for Amex and it stacks with the 6x points for Amex Blue Cash card. So effectively its 10% off GCs.

In addition to the overall 4x, lots of specific gift cards with 4x – 10x points that can stack with this. These do show up under Gift Cards. For example 10x on Bass Pros or Vudu.
Careful with Safeway gift cards, my parents bought some gift cards there that were tampered with and had zero funds when they went to redeem. When they pulled off the sticker someone had scratched off the code as well.
Just happened to me with footlocker. I bought several to flip and first the manager had trouble even activating all of them. She even went into their supply inside the gift card display cabinet to get some from the shrieked wrapped package. All five activated. When I got home one had the last two PIN numbers scratched off the card under the gray scratch off material. Fortunately, the store gave me my money back for the one gift card. They pulled all of the foot locker gift cards from that store.

You should get gift cards from the counter not from the shelf.
All stores near me only have racks so that’s not an option. Best I can do is make sure there’s no tampering. Michelle said the manager pulled from a stack of new ones anyway. Sounds more like the tampering was before they got to the store.
