Assuming it’s the same as last time, you don’t need to do anything before purchasing the gift card. When you buy the gift card, a coupon should print on your receipt. On your next purchase, you hand them that coupon.
(I entered my “for U” phone number on each purchase (or at least the first one), but I don’t know if that’s necessary.)
Right, it prints on the receipt. Only works for these gift cards shown. I entered my phone number for each purchase (not sure if you need to). So far I’ve used this 4 times in separate transactions – it worked each time. The $15 coupon is redeemable right away on groceries. I used each one a few minutes after I got it so I wouldn’t forget to use it. It expires in about 2 weeks. I also got my normal 2x Safeway points. And I used my Sears card for 10x Citi Thank you points on groceries. A good deal.
Buy this and then watch for when they do $5 or $10 off (usually spend $50) to sweeten the deal.
And then stack it with a 4x points promo. This all crushes what the Kroger family offers these days, of course, when the offers align, which they just did with the “buy a $50 GC, get $10 off your next order” promo about a month ago.
