Our Verdict
Remember to save the offer first to your card before use. You won’t get fuel points on Visa/MC gift cards. Make sure to use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases. In the past this has not worked on variable load cards. There is the same deal on Visa gift cards that is valid until 12/04.

Stacks with Michelob rebate for (nearly) free case of beer:
I found a nice offer in Safeway’s Just4U digital coupons that stacks with the 2x$100 VHC/MCGC promo. The offer reads “$20 REBATE via PayPal, on the purchase of one (1) $25 Gift Card and one (1) Michelob ULTRA® Family 24-pack or larger (cans or bottles)**” Currently at my store the 24-pack is on sale for $20.99 (reg. $27.99) through 12/27, and the rebate offer expires 12/15.
I tested and can confirm it works with just the VGC and/or MCGC purchase. You do not need to buy a gift card that is exactly $25; it works on gift cards that are at least $25. So if you are doing the VGC/MCGC promo, you can clip the Michelob rebate and pick up a case of beer for 99c (plus varying CRV + tax depending on location).
The $20 rebate is via PayPal. If your Safeway club card is linked to the same email as your PayPal, this should be seamless (no paperwork) and should happen with a few days. If there is no PayPal email matching your club card email, they’ll email you and prompt you to create a PayPal account (or perhaps at that point you can elect to have it deposited into a PayPal account of your choice – I can’t say for certain). Your receipt will show that you have earned the rebate. It won’t show on the register before the receipt prints.
Unknown if this is being offered at other Safeway affiliates, but worth looking for. Even if you don’t drink beer or don’t like Michelob Ultra, it’s good to have on had for guests during the holidays.

So if Im reading this right, one can get two 100 VGCs to get $$15 off, and then now, the MCs, to get another $15 off, for a total of $30.00 off $400 in prepaids?
Just gotta remember the purchase fee of 4.95 or 5.95 per card
Sorry for the newbie question, but I hardly ever have to Manufacture spend. But for purposes of Capital one CC (Savor Card), will purchasing these type of gift cards, trigger negative reaction from capital one in regards to obtain bonus offer ?

Visa deal is good till 12/11, but you have to add the coupon by 12/4 or it goes away.
