(Update) Saks Fifth Avenue No Longer On Shoprunner ($9.95 Shipping Fee)

Update 6/23/24: Minimum for free shipping recently went up from $200 to $300. (ht Tyler)

Update 3/22/24: Minimum for free shipping just went up from $100 to $200 (ht FM)

Original Post 6/14/23:

Reader Doug points out that Saks Fifth Avenue is no longer available with Shoprunner, and so you now need $100 for free shipping. Orders below $100 come with a $9.95 shipping charge. (Cardholders get free shipping.)

On Shoprunner it’s showing the following message:

Unfortunately, Saks Fifth Avenue has been temporarily disabled. If you have questions about an order, please reach out to their customer service directly.

This is a bummer for those trying to use up their $50 American Express Platinum credits since it’s now basically like a $40 credit after shipping. Best idea would be to use in-store, or buy a gift card in-store and use at a later date online.

Not sure what all the hubbub is about. Can easily meet the $300 threshold at Saks buying a pair of socks.

Rather have more entertaiment, uber, or flight credit than the saks credit. Saks have been falling for years.

They are filtering out low-spending customers. If you make less than half a million yearly, you’ve likely reduced your clothing expenditures since the pandemic. Saks is shifting its focus to private clients to boost profits.

Must be rough being a Plat cardholder and not living in a city.

They also now charge $9.95 per return on all returns. Buy more crap than you intend to keep no longer a free shipping loophole. Credit now effectively $40 plus headache of use.

I usually go on a date with my p2 at Sak’s lounge in Beverly Hills to spend our credits. The food is okay but there are a lot of eye candies in the women’s building. wink wink

Don’t forget to use your AMEX Platinum $50 spend by the end of the month.

Free shipping on returns was replaced on 4/11 with a $9.95 deduction from your refund. In store returns aren’t assessed this deduction. Closes most of the loophole for the “Buy $200 for free shipping and return $150”.

In store returns are limited to 30 days. After that you have to try to return it online. Which they may or may not accept. Almost got stuck with a $250 sweater

Amex return protection covers it.

What do you mean? They will cover return shipping?

Saks also added language that they wil ban you for return abuse. They’re really trying to target AMEX plat users who buy $50 items twice a year.
