No longer seeing instacart gift card as an option, do they eventually come back in stock?

Please add “limit 2 per membership”

So if you ordered before you can’t – they just magically disappear from your cart when you try to check out. Kinda cool, but annoying 🙂 Costco also has 2 per membership limit, but they let you place an order and then cancel it.

Good news: Costco lets you buy uber @80% every 2 weeks.

You guys are brave to buy high denomination of instacart gc. The company is super scammy and there are MANY MANY reviews online people getting their account locked with absolutely zero response or path forward. We all do deals and not everyone plays 100% by the rule. But I’d never keep any gc stored on my insta account. They are bunch of crooks. Great offers, but only until they don’t pull it and then you have no recourse. Just sharing if it helps someone making decisions on how to buy and use these gcs to be safe.

I really don’t even think $100 is that high denomination. That’s less than one grocery reload for our household.

Are we calling $100 “high denomination” in the context of groceries? For the average household (say, USDA’s “thrifty family”) that’s like a week.

Chuck and Instacart have not forgotten us even though they’re on vacation! Let’s place an order for Juneteenth as well. Thank God, Sam’s Club still open with the usual hours on Juneteenth

Costco’s Instacart gift card deal is back too

Deal is going on now. I had used it on May 4, and kept getting the message I was at the maximum until today, so it looks like you need 45 days in between purchases.

14 days to cool off. I buy two 2-gift-card order every other week the same day. No issue.

Interesting. That works for me on Instacart, but Sam’s Club had it locked down until 45 days for me. Maybe because I was a new customer? Anyway, good to know!

I’m assuming Sam’s doesn’t allow use of their GCs to purchase GCs like this? TIA.

rip off almost double store price pls the fees service charges, tips and near expired bad quality food they grab makes it a bad deal

yes you must be in one of the 2 groups of people that this deal won’t work for:
1) people who don’t understand math at all
2) paranoid schizophrenics who think drivers are conspiring to give them expired fruits and stealing their grapes

Actually it depends, we do pickup orders at Aldi and prices are either the same or slightly higher on some items. (They usually include the store receipt so you can compare it.) Doing a pickup order cuts all the fees and there is no tip. Getting groceries at nearly 20% off is a great value to me and my family.

I have never used Instacart. I’m a big fan of Aldi, so this would be great.

How do you drain the Instacart card? Can you split an Aldi pick-up order between a small remaining balance on Instacart gift card and a credit card?

I had gone to Aldi this morning and purchased nine items. I just built the same list in Instacart so I could compare. In Instacart, each item was $0.20 – $0.30 higher. (No item was the same price as paid in the store.) Difference in grand total: $22.09 Instacart vs. $19.91 actually paid in-store this morning. Over five trips, that would be $110.45 vs. $99.55. So out-of-pocket cost, if I purchase the Instacart gift card, would be $80.00 + $10.45 = $90.45 for ~$100 groceries. Savings would be around 10%, if I did the math correctly. (That was for a pick-up order.)

You load the giftcard balance into your Instacart account and it stays there for future orders. You can choose to use it for your next order or not, but you cant choose to only use part of it. For example, if I loaded $100 GC initially, and used $80 for an order, I’ll have $20 credits left for my next order. If that order costs $50, I can use the remaining $20 credit and then a credit card for the $30 difference. Or I can save the credits and pay $50 on a credit card. Or I can add another Instacart GC to my account so that I have more credits to use for the order. You can’t just use, say $10, of your $20 credits though.

The real hack is to use them on Aldi’s pickup orders if you have one in your area.

You get 5% in Instacart credits back for pickup orders too.

It can be a good deal for some stores, I’ve found it decent for Costco personal care, especially when I don’t feel like running in. Was able to get a pack of their minoxidil hair loss foam for $3 more than they were selling in store. With the membership from Chase and the gift card the savings were nice and I didn’t have to go to Costco
