Samsung Pay has added support for Discover cards and you can now add your cards to the popular mobile wallet app. They haven’t yet added Discover to the official list of supported cards so I suspect there will be a more official announcement sometime next week. Discover cards still do not work with Android Pay so that will likely be the next mobile wallet that Discover will want to be added to (Update: as the comments correctly point out Discover cards do work with Android Pay).

wonder if its worth it to wait in case of an add your discover card type promotion
Finally!! Just in time for the restaraunt categories.
Android pay works with discover .
Paid my rent thru radpad with it last august.
FYI…..Samsung Pay only supports Discover cards with phones running Android 6.0 and above.
Ahhh, the good old days of apple 10% cash back up to $10,000 in purchases….please Discover…do it again
Post is incorrect. Discover cards do work with Android Pay. They had a targeted promo for $5 cashback on each of first $10 Android Pay purchases with your Discover Card earlier this year. Cashback for those just posted for me.
First 10 purchases*
Is there any minimum purchase for those first 10 purchases?? I did and yet to receive my cash back. How long it took you for cash back to get posted
No minimum. Took 2 or maybe 3 statement cycles.
Thank you
As Peter stated, Discover has worked with Android Pay for quite some time now.
Have you had any luck getting android pay to work with discover in store? I have tried using it at Whole Foods, Subway, and Walgreens with no luck. Errors out in every case. I did, however, get it to work in-app at Panera.
I used it at BJ’s Wholesale for 10 purchases. Found that BJ’s has an internal fraud system that will decline purchases using same payment method after 6 transactions “PAYMENT NOT AUTHORIZED” error on POS.
Had to delete Discover card from Android Pay and re-add it right after therefore generating a new virtual card number. Worked then for 4 more transactions. When BJ’s was blocking purchase, Discover did not even see transactions attempted on their end.
Updated post, thanks!
