In early January Samsung Pay devalued the rewards program and removed referrals. In early February they then cut the amount of points you earned in half. They have now devalued the program even further by removing gift cards and rewards cards as redemption options. The only redemption options left are sweepstakes and Samsung website credit. I suspect this will be the final straw for most Samsung Pay Rewards enthusiasts and they won’t be going out of their way to use the program again unless it’s convenient to do so (or there is another promotion offered).
It’s also possible that this is a temporary change, but given the trajectory Samsung Pay was on I doubt it.
