Our Verdict
These are all nice prices. We noted the Dell prices above since many of us get free $200 credit at Dell with the Amex Business Platinum card; it’s even possible to split a charge on Dell.com between two cards. You can also stack the Dell, Walmart, and Best Buy deals with a shopping portal.
I bought the Bose QC ultras 10 days ago for $429 only 12% rakuten cb from Dell using my Amex biz plat $200 credit… Called Dell today and they price matched & agreed to credit me back $80… Sweet although i missed out on the extra 3% rakuten cb bc 15% is offered today at Dell
is it worth buying insurance ($30) for the Sony WH-1000XM4?
When getting it from Amazon, if you choose a later date for delivery, you get a 7% return for future amazon
and they always ship earlier too.

Well without rakuten you were gonna be out like $38 taxes & no cashback…
Even here in Florida sales tax is 7% so that’s like half of the cashback. You’ve got way better education & the opportunity qualify for enhanced healthcare. You’ve got beaches & the amazing national parks. Better public transit in most places.

The Sony XM4’s are great. Some reviewers rate them as better then the XM5’s
Still showing $348 at Amazon and best buy. Maybe the $198 was a flash sale? They’re $260 at Walmart.
Must have been. CCC says lowest ever price was 7/16 @ $208. They drop to $249 every couple of months which is still a good price IMO. I have the XM3s bought in 2020 and they are still working well, bought P2 the XM4s in 22′ and she uses them almost every day.
Agree the XM4s have great noise isolation and noise canceling. Only criticism are the touch controls on the side. I turned them off in the Sony app. XM4s > XM5s > XM3s is the consensus.
