Just a quick heads-up about a scam that’s going around whereby scammers get hold of a credit card number and drain the points balance by linking it to an Amazon account and buying stuff with Shop With Points.
Thus far I’ve only heard of the issue with Chase points. People are noticing it when they see their balances drained or when reviewing their points redemption history. Seems to be affecting quite a few people.
I believe AmEx sends out notice when Shop With Points is used, but Chase perhaps does not.
