[Expired] GrubHub/Seamless: $10 Off $15+ With Venmo (Requires .edu E-mail)

Deal has expired, view more GrubHub/seamless deals here.

Update 11/2/2018: There is now a direct link for GrubHub as well. Doesn’t seem like it should matter as there is a limit of one use per Venmo account across both platforms but maybe a savvy reader will work out a work around.

The Offer

Direct link to offer for seamless and direct link for GrubHub

  • Seamless is offering $10 off $15+ when you use Venmo to pay. To get a code you need an .edu e-mail address

The Fine Print

  • Offer is available on a first-come, first-serve basis for diners holding valid .edu emails.
  • Eligible diners will receive a code for $10 off one order of $15+ (before tax, tip and fees).
  • To redeem, enter code at checkout on Seamless’ iPad® or iPhone® or Android apps, and pay for your order using Venmo.
  • Valid from 12:01 AM CDT on 10/22/2018 until the earlier of 11:59 PM CDT on 11/5/18, or until supplies are out (the “Promo Period”)
  • Limited to 1 redemption per Venmo account (between both Grubhub and Seamless) during the Promo Period.
  • Cannot be combined with other discounts. Seamless reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the offer, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Seamless’ reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the offer, as determined by Seamless in its sole discretion.

Our Verdict

It says there is a limit of 1 redemption per Venmo account between both Grubhub and Seamless and there was a public $10 off $15 deal for Grubhub. Not sure if there is any way to get around that or if it’s only useful for those that didn’t do that deal. You won’t be able to stack this with the gold benefit as you need to pay with Venmo.

I did not check out with Venmo just using the Amex Gold, got the discount and the order went through and confirmed.

The app errors out saying that the code can’t be used on a pickup order. Oh well.

How do you use the Amex gold credit if you have to pay with Venmo?

Add your card in venmo app. all purchases will be charged to your card if you dont have a venmo balance. You can also set to use default card for all payments on vemo in the settings.

Won’t code as 4x, but will it work with dining credit?

No it doesn’t get the dining credit. Tried it last month with the other Venmo/Grubhub promo

Yeah, it wouldn’t work considering the purchase will reflect a “Venmo” purchase and not come through Grubhub/Seamless’s official processor.
