Our Verdict
Quite an awesome deal if you can do some real volume. Presumably, they only targeted those whose accounts aren’t too active and not the real sellers.
Typically, eBay sellers pay 10% of the item value (less for those with eBay Stores). As an example, if you sell $1,000 worth of stuff throughout the month of June, you’d typically pay $100 in eBay fees (aside from Paypal fees), but with this offer you’ll pay just $20 (plus 2.9% Paypal fees).
You can also sell gift cards on eBay if that interests you, although there is some risk involved. We wrote more about the special rules for selling gift cards on eBay here.
This is not what you people think it is. Read the fine details. Twenty dollars capped in final value fees “per item sold,” not total sales for the month! So it’s a great deal when selling valuable items, but worthless if you sell small stuff by the barrel full.
It’s pretty clear in the terms not that way:
” For example, if the total value of items sold in June is $620, the seller’s final value fees for the month will be capped at $20 (instead of paying the standard fee total of $62).”
I clicked on the link above which went to the landing page for the $20 offer and it activated! Then I checked my e-mail and saw my targeted offer was the $50 offer. So I wonder which is actually active on my account? Doesn’t show at the bottom of myebay page like most promos. Anybody know how to check which one is active?
I’d guess it’s the $50 offer that is active for you. Also, check your eBay Messages.
I got a targeted offer from paypal for 2% cashback on up to $1000 of eligible purchases from June 1 – June 24th. The 2% cashback will be posted to the paypal account after 6/24/16. So, nice $20 cashback for Ebay purchases…:-)

@Samy @Jay Interesting, I hadn’t been aware there was another offer. Still great for high volume of sales.
