Reader TDD sent in the following deal which is found now in the Shell app. I don’t have the app so I’ll post their analysis as-is:
Shell is running a celebratory promo for 10 years in their app (can also do on desktop here). It’s free. There are 9 quick activities, each of which give you a spin on the wheel to win up to $.25 per gallon. I think the minimum you can win is $.05. Every spin is a winner. Rewards stack.
At the moment 5 activities are unlocked. Three are short videos, one is a simple 3-question quiz about fuel rewards, and one is a set of flash cards. There is some schedule at which they will unlock the remaining four activities.
Rewards won won’t be immediately applied to your account. It takes a few days to be applied. I’m currently at $.50 from doing the first three tasks a few days ago (not including the $.15 T-Mobile is giving me today or my $.05 gold status). Tasks 4 and 5 just became available and I won another $.25 total.
Nothing clickable this morning. I wonder what’s happening.

Any way to see what you won on previous spins? I’m up to .63, but have no idea if they any of the rewards were not credited to my account, as has happened to some folks. I checked in my Account History through the app, but it shows 0.00 for each transaction (5 spins, 1 AAP card linking). Could I glean anything from this?
If you call this number – 888.603.0473 | 7am–10pm CT daily, they will post any missing rewards for you from spins. You tell them the amount per spin and how many you’ve done and within 10 minutes you’ll see it posted to your account. Very impressed with how quickly they did this.
Also, to generate spins 6 and 7, I was told you need to do the activities and then wait ~7 days to get notified that you have the spin in your account. Not sure it will all play out like that, but we’ll see. Rep mentioned that if you have a card linked already, unlink it to have no cards showing as linked, then go through the process again clicking on the button in the page where you see the spin game and link again. Can be the same card that you linked again. I did that and we’ll see if I get a spin in about a week or so.
Unfortunately my experience was not the same.
I called the number you listed above (thanks!), spoke with a rep who created a case file for me (seemed a bit ridiculous but whatever). He wanted to know the exact date that I played the game as well. For anyone else who calls, make sure that it’s been at least 10 days ago.
He said I will be contacted within 5 business days as to the results of their investigation, lol. We shall see.
Lol “investigation”. I take that to mean try your luck on a new account….lol

Linked a card on the 12th and today (24th) it still does not show the bonus.
Not surprised the spin didn’t show. Worth calling customer service and see what they can do. Maybe they can just add 25 cents / gallon to your account.
I see two new activities (6 and 7) unlocked, but when I click on them, nothing happens.
I have been clicking on 6 and 7 for weeks now and am unable to do so. I sometimes get a message that says something about me exceeding my number of spins? Crazy and frustrating!
You don’t click on the 6th and 7th activities boxes. If you notice, there are teeny-tiny minuscule asterisks leading you to the footnotes just below the activity boxes. You must complete each of those activities (Pay & Save; Link & Save) to earn those extra (6th and 7th) spins. (The linked videos are just a show-me-how. You don’t earn anything by watching the videos.)

The asterisk text now reads
“*Once you’ve completed each activity, you’ll be awarded a spin within 3 days. Spin rewards will be applied within 7 days.”
Most gas station attendants in Boston, MA do not recognize the app. I log in using my FuelRewards username at the pump. If I use my Stop and Shop loyalty card, I do not get the $0.05 per gallon. I discovered the game rewards take several days to post to my account before I can use them at the pump. I tried and failed to use the app at the pump. The cashier inside the convenience store can assist you if you want to pay up front on the app.
One note: if you already have any cards linked, adding new cards does NOT trigger the bonus spin.
I ended up with like .80c off and then went to the shell and they said they were not aware of the app …. So I ended up going to Costco and it was about the same price as me using the shell discount.
i have been playing this spin game and have yet to get the bonus discount applied. not sure whether to bother with new spin.
Took me about a week or two before I saw the game points applied to my FuelRewards account.
Same for me, I’ve been doing this spin game for a couple months and no discounts have been applied.
