Shoprite will be offering the following deal for November 26 through November 29:
- Buy any $100 third party gift card and get a bonus $20 Shoprite shopping voucher to be used on a future grocery purchase.
The Fine Print
- Requires Shoprite loyalty card (free)
- Limit one per Shoprite card
- Excludes prepaid Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Shoprite gift cards or prepaid phone airtime type gift cards
- You can buy one $100 card or total $100 from multiple gift cards and be eligible for this offer
- The $20 voucher will print out on the BOTTOM of the store receipt and will be valid for specific dates (probably a future date, beginning a few days later)
- The $20 voucher must be spent in one transaction, no change given. Voucher is not valid to purchase gift cards, you have to buy groceries.
Our Verdict
Shoprite sells a wide variety of third party gift cards, such as gas, eBay, travel, dining and more. They don’t sell Amazon, from what I’m reading. This deal is always popular, but it is limited to just one use.
Deal is definitely still alive. I bought this morning and the cashier made sure I entered my card number so I get $20 credit for future purchase. and it shows on the receipt. Dates for redemption are 12/18/22-12/24/22
FYI a pretty easy way to turn the $20 into straight up cash, although it takes a little work is to just buy a COVID test kit(s). Not to mention they are FSA/HSA eligible so you can save even more.
-Purchase two pack of COVID at home test kit for 19.99 each. They are taxable so that will bring your total above $20.
-Use the $20 coupon at checkout. I just did this today, self tests are eligible use of the coupon.
-Submit receipt to your insurance plan, all plans currently have to provide reimbursement for up to 8 tests per month per covered person I believe it is.
-Get $20+tax check back in the mail from your health insurance.
For a family of 4 I spend thousands at ShopRite a year, but I don’t need to buy anything for several days after Thanksgiving, and instead of requiring a trip there on Saturday 12/3 instead of Sunday, I can not worry about it.
Do this for yourself, P2’s Price Plus card, as many as you like really. I just had 2 coupons from my $200 in gift card purchases last week. Don’t draw attention to yourself and go buying 8 test kits and ring them up with 8 separate coupons on 8 separate PP cards, do one a day or one at self checkout then go to car and get another at a human register.
The $20 coupon and my 6% on Amex BCP gaves me a whooping 26% discount on the gift cards I bought last week.
The last time I did this, the $20 had to be before tax becuase when the system took off the $20 it then only taxed the remaining amount which was now less than $20. Still a good deal, you just may have to add a filler item (a banana or an apple).
Also, check with your store first as not all Shoprites carry the covid tests
just got 4 25.00 Gulf gas cards on 2 Price Plus cards with groceries and a 20.00 coupon on both receipts. However, for the first time in 7 or 8 years, SR will NOT be doing the 2nd week of gift card purchases and get a 15.00 cash certificate. it’s nowhere to be found in the circular beginning 11/ 27. Maybe before Xmas is a possibility.

First off, the dates are off…the deal is from November 20 – 28. Also, the fine print says excludes financials which created huge problems in the past since no one at the store knew what specifically a financial was. I believe that any of the Choice gift cards are considered financials and will not qualify.
I only buy 4 25.00 Gulf gas cards. Or Shell. Always worked for the 20.00 for the next week. I do the same the following week usually for 15.00 off that next week’s offer. And this is the first year the gift card deal starts today for the week. Used to be only on BF and sat.
This week is pretty clear all are included, except for the usual Visa/MC/Shoprite cards.

Do not gamble, my bank account warns you, but you can just deposit the $100 on the site and then automatically withdraw the balance to your bank account. So, the $20 off at Shoprite is essentially free.

I have some visa/master GC from Staples, I could buy this game GC from Shoprite and drain this way via the game site, does this work ? I read that when you withdraw, they deposit the balance to your original payment, so if you fund the account with their GC, they allow you to withdraw to your bank account? Thanlks.
I am very familiar with the online casinos in New Jersey and they DO NOT LIKE when you deposit money and withdraw it without gambling. It smells of money laundering right away. Recommend you play a tiny bit, and wait at least a few hours, or at least the next day before you do the withdrawal. They warned me a few times for depositing and withdrawing right away. Eventually goes through, but they might make you submit additional requirements.
I usually try to get a gas card for these deals. Use the gas card right away, because those get hacked, too

Shell gift cards were notorious for having the balance stolen a few years back, and I had it happen on one of mine. Part of the issue was that there was no PIN on that cards at that time, and you could just put in a card number on their web site to see the balance. So, folks could go to a store, copy down the easily visible card numbers, and then keep trying them to see when they were activated. Fortunately, they’ve smartened up a bit and the cards now have a covered PIN.
Fortunately, when I called to ask about my card (which had been declined when I tried to pay for gas), the CSR I spoke with recognized the fraudulent charge and replaced the card. [The fraudulent charges were all originating from one or a few places in California.]
This happened to me on a 50.00 Shell card bought at StopandShop. Inserted into pump and “not authorized’. called Shell the next day..5 cents on card. Shell mailed me a new card within 1 week.
Does the voucher have to be used in the same Shoprite you bought the gift card? or it can be used in any shoprite?
