[Expired] ShopRite: Purchase $50 In Third Party Giftcards & Save $10 On Your Next Shop (Limit 1)

Deal has ended, view more ShopRite deals by clicking here.

The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • ShopRite is offering $10 off your next shop when you spend $50 or more on any third party gift card

The Fine Print

  • Excludes ShopRite gift cards.
  • Must be one transaction.
  • Limit one per customer.

Our Verdict

Usually this is only on select gift cards, but a couple of times a year we get it on all gift cards. Use a card that earns at a high rate on grocery store purchases to get an even bigger discount.

Below is the direct link from the ShopRite website that clearly indicates that the promotion applies to ALL gift cards except for those excluded in the ad.

Thanks to all for advising that this would be the case and now we know to go to the source for clarification!!!

I did it for the last promotion when it was purchase $100, receive $20. I purchased a Best Buy giftcard and got the coupon. It prints on the end of your receipt, so don’t throw the receipt out.

I did a $100 combo of cards not on the list (Home Depot, Lowe’s and bath & body works) and did not get the coupon. My local store also would not ring up the gift cards on the same receipt as my groceries, saying it’s a new policy.

I bought a $50 eBay gift card and got the $10 code on my receipt.

Generally, if it’s limited to certain gift cards, they’ll list those cards in the text of the ad. Here, only the excluded cards are listed in the text.

Bought $50 Best Buy today, received $10 promo on the bottom of the receipt. All good.

FYI, my Shoprite in central NJ only had Select GCs participating for this offer.

William, unfortunately, this deal is actually on the SELECT gift cards shown in the ad, not any 3rd party gift cards that you mention above. YMMV.

I’m not so sure it’s select gift cards, as it specifically states it excludes certain types of cards, hence meaning all cards except those. So I believe it would be all gift cards actually

This seems like the deal they ran for Black Friday. If so, third party gift cards (including ones not shown) should be okay. I would go in store and ask customer service if you want to be sure, but I purchased Best Buy gift cards and received the coupon without a problem last time.

Thanks, Andy, Jack and Chloe — I stand corrected (I guess) and have learned something new!

If next week’s offerings look decent, I think I will take a swing at this one! Last one for $100 with the $20 credit worked great — especially since I paired it with an AMEX offer for $20 credit if I spent $100 on my AMEX at Shoprite!

You can redeem the $10 from 12/18-12/24.

If you wanna add that in the post

I would assume that it is a MUST redeem the credit during those dates!

That must be at stores that follow the Fri – Thu sales cycle. Most ShopRites are on the Sunday – Saturday cycle, so the certificate must be used 12/20 – 12/26 at those.

And of course most of them will be closed on 12/25 so you have less time to use it.
