Alaska Airlines has partnered with CLEAR and will offer a discounted $179 rate. They also are now running the following promotion:

• MVP, MVP Gold, MVP Gold 75k and MVP Gold 100k members will receive 1,500 miles for enrolling in CLEAR Plus for the first time at the $179 rate, and 1,250 miles for renewing/reinstating their CLEAR Plus accounts at the $179 rate.
• Mileage Plan members of all tier levels will earn an additional 1,000 bonus miles for enrolling in CLEAR Plus for the first time at the $179 rate during the limited time offer period of 6/21-7/16/2023.

Our Verdict

The $179  rate isn’t  as good as what Delta and United offer through their partnership with CLEAR. We’ve also seen better signup bonuses for CLEAR. There hasn’t been anything recently, and this is better than nothing.

Remember that you can get the CLEAR fee reimbursed if you have an American Express Platinum or Business Platinum card or if you have the Green card.
