Slide & Raise Discontinuing Affiliate Payouts (Shopping Portals)

Slide and Raise discounted gift card sites have sent notice to their affiliates that they’ll soon be pausing all affiliate payout. For Slide the pause date is August 18th and for Raise it’s August 12th. They are launching a new venture in 2023 and are saving their marketing capital for that venture.

Strangely, shopping portals seem to still have Raise available, despite affiliates having already ended on August 12th, so maybe commercial shopping portals run differently? But, presumably we’ll see both Slide and Raise removed from portals in the coming days.

Did you see the email this week that Slide is now Raise. Looks like their attempt failed.

Hopefully they lost a lot of business since last year when they removed Raise from portals for the new ‘venture.’

Maybe they will reconsider now and get back on portals again.

After sending emails about new “10% rewards” I see Slide really nerfed most of their % back. eBay went from 4 to 1% back. It was nice while it lasted.

Looks like Slide was indeed taken down everywhere as expected. Bummer.

Top Cash Back has its own gift card store. I might play with using it for a while.

Poor business decision by Raise. Most of the top brands have cards that sell for less than the RaiseCash offer. So instead of getting 6-9% commission from bulk sellers, they are getting maybe 2-5% commission from the retailers.

They may save some marketing dollars (but lose revenue), but they are really hurting their long-term business sustainability. Easy for a competitor to step in and gain significant market share here.

The only reason I’ve ever used Raise is the portal kickback. Goodbye Raise!

Any tips on Google Play / YouTube TV gift cards? This was going to be my method to subscribe for football season to get 4% Slide + 1% Slide preload + 4% portal. Or is this still the best spot even without the portal?

Dollar General often has 2x$25 Google Play gc for $45. In fact, one such sale just ended this weekend

Man I’m not going to lie I’ve never really understood how cashback portals have ever made any sense but have always enjoyed using them.

Its kind of funny in a way but this is like a fairly major blow to my financial situation. I buy so many giftcards on Slide and Raise and its basically all because of the cash back portals. C’est la vie (or what the French say) I guess.

If they don’t pay us, easy enough to not pay you either, I guess.

Raise is showing up on TCB. Currently they have a $2.50 bonus so I’m hoping to take advantage of that when I made a Raise purchase this evening. I figured it’s worth a shot trying to use their portal with Raise since it was still showing 2% cashback.
