FYI for the free until 8/20 one: “This email confirms you’ve successfully canceled your Sling TV subscription. Please note that cancellation of your free trial has taken immediate effect and you now have been downgraded to Sling Free.”
Update — just got the $10 offer from Bank of America. Still nothing at Chase.
I wouldn’t consider this a money maker. Or at least not consider this a deal. Perhaps okay for someone that really wants the service anyways.
Rakuten often has sign up bonuses much higher I’ve seen 30 and 40 dollars sometimes. Those tend to work really great with the Sam’s club offers. Personally I would save it for one of those.
So, as others have reported, it seems like they’ve changed their promo; it’s free until 8/20 and then regular price. So unless there is some way to get the old promo (unlikely), the deal is dead. Sadly, I just found it on my US Bank account.
If you scroll 1/2 down the page it has two other offers. 1/2 off premium pass which includes service and a bunch of the movie channels for $17.50 is the one you want.

I don’t see a 50% off deal. They sent me an email for free service until 8/20. Chase requires spending $17.50 or more so won’t apply to free deal.
Not seeing the offer on any of my Chase cards. Must be targeted.
IMHO, these things often seem kind of random. I have a bunch of Chase offers and close to 100 BofA and do not have it at either bank. However, I did find it on my US Bank account.
Sling TV is actually currently free until 8/20. Going to use rakuten and see if it tracks (not sure it will as there is no payment). at worst, waste a free trial.

lol so it tracked but I made only $2.50 cashback on it. not sure how that worked but I guess better than nothing??
