This is just a bad commercial for the service. No one wants to watch anything they have for free.

crackle and tubitv have a much better selection of movies. pluto has a better selection of live news including bloomberg.

Agreed but note Bloomberg (and Sky News mentioned above) are already free via those respective apps.

Just downloaded it on my fire stick, it’s legit free no sign up, nice. This is really great for those who will have to possibly cancel Netflix and Hulu or other paid services Because of not working at the moment. Free is free baby

Worthless. The only live streaming station I see are ABC News Now (which already streams for free) and my local FOX affiliate along with those digital subchannels (BUZZR, etc.), which you can get over the air for free.

The free on-demand content is worse than other similar providers, such as Pluto or Crackle.

It appears to be basically the same TV shows and movies that are already available for free via Pluto TV: primarily low-quality movies, reruns from 25-year-old shows that were not that great to begin with (e.g., Grace Under Fire), and limited access to a few episodes of newer shows. For example, when I log in, the first 3 movies listed under the “Free Popular Movies” heading are “The Admiral Was a Lady,” “Ladies Book Club,” and “The Hustle.” I don’t know that I would call these “popular” with any demographic.

Not working on Apple TV!

“ Click “Start Watching Free” to begin browsing the Sling Free library, or access Sling Free on Roku, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV and Android mobile devices.”

Probably because the intent of the product is to upsell to paid subscriptions and if you do that transaction in the Apple ecosystem, Apple takes a significant chunk of the revenue making those customers unprofitable for Sling.

http://pluto.tv/ and https://tubitv.com/ are both completely free. They have loads of channels and movies. I watch Sky News through Pluto. No ads appear if you use an ad blocker.
