Being a small business owner and having a number of friends and family with small businesses I am always grateful when the spotlight is shone on us. American Express have confirmed that they will be running their small business saturday event this year.
For those unfamiliar, American Express will give a statement credit of $10 when a card holder who has enrolled in the event purchases $10 or more from a participating small business.
Last year AMEX was offering $25 back on a purchase on $25 or over so it’s a little disappointing to see them drop it to the $10 level. If you own a small business, make sure you tell all of your customers to enroll so they can take advantage of this offer.

Two thumbs up for AmEx, let’s see if VISA decides to offer something similar next year. Fingers crossed they do, both for small businesses and card holders. Remember to support your local small business however possible!
