Update 3/10/25: According to some readers issue has resolved on Experian, but not Equifax/TransUnion yet (this is without reaching out proactively)
Update 3/5/25: A memo went out to Chase bankers letting them know about the error and indicating that it will be automatically fixed within 30 days. If you need it fixed sooner due to a loan or whatnot, try contacting Chase. Memo below. (ht Odie_Arbuckle)
Update 3/3/25: Chase reps are now acknowledging this is an error. Some are stating you need to call to get this resolved, while others are stating it will be automatically removed after your next statement cycle. I suspect this will be fixed automatically for all cardholders but if you need it fixed sooner contacting Chase is your best bet.
Original Post:
There are numerous reports of Chase Ink business cards reporting to personal reports (1, 2, 3). This isn’t widespread as most people aren’t seeing their Ink business cards being reported. In the past when this happened it has been possible to dispute this with Chase and get them removed but it usually takes 1-2 months to resolve. People care about this due to the Chase 5/24 rule.
Update: In the comments here there are some reports of other Chase business cards getting reported to the personal bureaus as well (e.g. United business, Southwest business cards).
Got a letter today in the mail from chase today explaining that they have removed the account
Experian fixed on 3/9 and Transunion on 3/13, there were no reports to Equifax Chase had posted 3 business accounts to my personal credit and misreported the credit limit on my biggest account as $30k when it is actually $204k, my credit instantly dropped 162 points from 826 to 663. I cannot wait for the class action lawsuits to join in.
Dissapeared for me on 03/13.
fixed for me. only sent a SM to chase. no disputes with any bureaus
Fixed on all 3 agencies. Never talked to anyone about it neither Chase or the credit agency.
This is resolved for me today. Credit score is back to normal. Filed a complaint on SM and called last week.
I just pulled my 3 reports, the ink disappeared from Experian, and was probably never on Equfax as I didn’t receive email alerts, but it is still on TransUnion. I submitted a dispute on TU
Still see issues on Experian. My score dropped more than 100 points because I have a high balance on the Ink card they reported
Equifax and Experian are fixed, score shot up to exactly the same as it was before Chase hit.
What phone number do you call to get the inquiry removed from Experian? I have called Chase multiple times and they say to call Experience directly. and Then Experian’s robot hangs up on me before I can talk to a human… please help! Thank you!
