Original Post:
A source on Reddit reports that the no-fee Chase INK Unlimited signup bonus will be increasing on August 25, 2024 from 75,000 to 90,000.
When this goes live, there will be a few excellent deals that will be running concurrently:
- 90k on INK Unlimited; this will probably last for a few months
- 120k on INK Preferred through September 5, 2024
- 40,000 refer-a-friend bonus through September 2, 2024
The advantages of the 90k offer over the 120 offer:
- $0 annual fee vs $95
- 0% APR for 12 months
- $6,000 spend requirement vs $8,000
- 1.5x per dollar on the spend vs 1x per dollar
After being declined two months ago for the INK Preferred, I was considering lobbing in an application before September 5th. Now I’m thinking about waiting another months (so that it’s 3 months from my denial) and then hopefully applying for the INK Unlimited.

Bonus terms show up on my application if I’m using ‘Apply as a Guest’ but not when I’m logged in. Does that mean I’m not eligible?
Oct 2024 applied and was denied Ink Unlimited. Already had Ink Cash, Unlimited, and Preferred which had been opened conservatively at 5 months apart. Dec 2024, SM Chase and closed Cash and Unlimited since these had been open a year, and reduced extended credit on Preferred to $2,500. Applied 1/23/25 for Ink Cash and was approved instantly (over 90 days since Oct 2024 denial).
Was at 3 inks, most recent November. Closed 2 in Dec/Jan. Approved for new ink unlimited today.
Heads up this still shows on the best bonuses with 90k even though it’s 75k now
Is there any link between opening a chase business checking and an ink? I plan on trying to do the checking account but I also want to try applying for a new ink. I don’t want to impact the chances of the ink so I can always hold off on the checking.
My P2 has two Ink’s, can’t open checking online…
I have two Ink’s and had no problem opening the checking…
I think they are completely separate. Two completely different divisions in a GIANT corp.
I’d say it’s common lore that having a deposit relationship HELPS with CC approval at banks as a whole…. no way to prove that though.
If there is any, having a sizeable balance in the business checking or savings might increase the chance of getting approved for an Ink
Thanks for the info. After reading this, I figured I give the checking a shot with my existing Ink since the offer suggested it would be “continuing with chase” as if would just work, but when I selected my existing Ink business it said nope. Oh well. I should replicate this in the banking offer page too since this isn’t an Ink offer DP sorry.

Is it better to try to open in branch vs online to avoid “fraud” denial. Lately see a lot of those “on hold” and then denials.
Yes, if that is an issue for you, I would recommend opening in person because the process is different and your ID is confirmed by looking at you and your ID. But, I wouldn’t preemptively open in branch just because it could happen. Especially with Chase, because I don’t believe they are sensitive to that problem. Stan F
DP: Signed up for 75K SUB less than two weeks after the 90K SUB for this card ended. Chase refused to match me to the better offer multiple times via secure message. This may reflect a new Chase policy. Tagging @chuck as an FYI
I don’t think they ever match after promo ends
To get a match, it needs to be active on the date that you applied. It’s not a retroactive thing.
Other thoughts, you could use a referral link and work out a deal with your referer.
I just closed this card in June 2024. am I eligible for bonus if I get approved again?
Hasn’t been an issue for MANY people. Personally, I would use a different flavor of Ink than opened before, but that’s probably just me. Sam
@william This seems to be expired, but is still on the best CC SUB list for December.
Second denial in 3 months! too many cards open and low credit utilization. Last card opened in April. very sad.
Never had this problem before.
