Our Verdict
Kind of annoying how Southwest keeps doing these on select flights. Still worth checking existing and future bookings.

@william I got an email for the Southwest sale and at the bottom of the email there was a link to an offer for 3,000 extra points for $1k of spend on SW card from 2/1 – 3/31. Not sure if targeted or not.

Better than nothing. Southwest gave me a personalized, one time use “25%” coupon for inter island flights after I booked one way to Hnl. It discounted the cash prices 25% but when I switched to points it discounted them 75%! I got 3 round trips from HNL-KOA for ~5300 pts each when cash prices were $300 + a fourth free round trip from the companion pass. Shame this one isn’t as generous

Southwest is in a wired phase right now. Flying max 8s with empty seats and trying to turn a profit because Boeing fumbled the smaller max 7s. Don’t be surprised to see fares creep up and these discount tricks.
