Really sparse availability on the routes I already had booked or looked at for future travel, could only find the discount on 6AM or 11PM flights.
Regular flight is 7500 points. With the code, the same flights magically turn to 9500 points, then reduce to 6900. Is this a joke? Why not say it’s a 5% or 10% code?
I’ve been seeing this kind of sales/marketing tactic on flights I’d checked as well.
I booked 2 one way flights for 2 with points recently and the Companion pass promo didn’t apply to award flights. I also have the 25% off coupon but I need to book 14 days prior to travel so I couldn’t use it. Ended up on a flight landing at 1am because I was short like 3k miles for the better times. If I find a better deal for the return flights I’ll cancel and rebook.

I have never had a problem adding the companion for reward flights. Any reasoning why it did not work?
the base price is different with and without the code, the discount is about 10% compared to without using the promo code
Thanks saved about 12k points across a couple of trips. Just an FYI this was on the front page of the southwest site on the account that has an active southwest chase card, but was not on the page of p2s account that does not have an active card.
How do you enter a promo code when changing flights?

These sales are great for cancelling and re-booking flights with the caveat that if you’ve already paid for earlybird check-in, you will forfeit that.
Luckily I only added Early Bird to my arriving flights which are fixed. My return flight is the one I would change for a better time.

Worked for me for June travel. Price before the discount was the same as when I booked 10 days ago. One caveat is that the discount did not show up when I entered the promo code on the main page. It only showed when I used the direct link in the original post.
