Yeah… I’m closing my account. This card is worth next to nothing at this point.

This hurts all of us except for the midwestern housewives that actually fly SW with their 13 kids and hoard the free crackers.

You’re just jealous you have no housewife, let alone a midwestern one.

A blow to the small number of people who were collecting RR points to use for gift cards. I would think that about 99% of RR members would find better value using them for free tickets.

They never stopped allowing GCs, they just took down the links. You could still follow the links from old emails etc. But Amazon GCs haven’t been in stock for a long time.

Even the 1¢ per point wasn’t very useful once they took away most useful GCs such as Amazon.

I don’t like what this says about the future redemption value for flights.

Yep, have been debating whether to turn my flight credit into points but this isn’t looking good. A $300 flight will likely be a $300 flight (or less) next summer but a 12,000 pt flight might be completely different!

Mike Yeah, if you’re sure you can use it before it expires, better off leaving it as a flight credit.

Avi, sitting on 250K RR pts, I have a similar concerns. Less so because it’s LUV and they do have are the healthiest balance sheet of the US carriers.

BUT the recent promo for a 2021 CP SUBwith $6K spend – does make me a bit more concerned.

Screw that, they’ll just be using tax money handouts to buy the cards
