The Offer
- Simmons Bank is offering a bonus $600 when you open a new checking account and complete the following requirements:
- Use promo code J10 to open a new Classic Checking or Simply Checking account.
- Open a qualifying checking account and earn up to three bonuses for each month that you meet the qualifying activities in the chart below
The Fine Print
- Eligible Customers who open a new Simmons Bank Classic Checking or Simply Checking account (an “Account”) at an eligible branch between June 14, 2024 and August 16, 2024, and complete qualifying activities will receive up to three cash bonuses (each a “Bonus”) (not more than one per statement cycle), of up to a total of $600 credited to the Account.
- “Eligible Customers” (1) are at least 18 years old; (2) must furnish or have a valid Form W-9 on file with Simmons Bank and may not be subject to backup withholding; (3) may not have an existing Simmons Bank consumer checking account and may not have had a Simmons Bank consumer checking account in the 12 months prior to Account opening; and (4) must use a specified promo code at Account opening.
Accounts must be opened in an eligible branch, which can be found at simmonsbank.com/cash-offer. - Accounts will only be eligible for a Bonus during the first four statement cycles4 after Account opening. A maximum of one Bonus may be earned within any one statement cycle. A maximum of three Bonuses will be available for an Account. Simmons Bank reserves the right to limit an individual to $600 in bonuses per rolling 12-month period across all deposit relationships.
- IMPORTANT TAX INFORMATION: The Bonus(es) will be reported to the IRS as interest income to the owner of the account, in the year received, as required by applicable law. Bonus payments will be reported on IRS Form 1099-INT, along with other interest you earn at Simmons Bank, for the year received. Customer is responsible for any applicable taxes and consulting a tax advisor. Simmons Bank is not a tax advisor.
- All bank account bonuses are treated as income/interest and as such you have to pay taxes on them
Avoiding Fees
Monthly Fees
Simply checking has no monthly fees to worry about.
Early Account Termination Fee
I wasn’t able to find any mention of one in the fee schedule.
Our Verdict
Requirements are a bit annoying considering you need to meet them for three months, still should be worth doing for most people. If you put the $10,000 into a 5% earning account you’d earn $125 over the same period so this bonus is significantly better than that.

I was traveling through Memphis an opened an account in-branch on July 19. The banker, who was very familiar with the offer, did not say I was ineligible for living outside of the area. I deposited a check for a little over $10k; although they credited my balance right away, it will not be available until 7/31.
Also pay attention to the statement cycles for the different accounts, which are listed in the terms of the offer.
Can you refer me , both can have $50, thanks
