The Offer

- Staples stores will be offering fee-free Visa AND mastercard gift cards this week.
The Fine Print
- Limit 9 per customer per day.
- Offer valid in store only.
Our Verdict
Normally it’s just Visa or Mastercard not both. I assume you can do 9 of each per day. As always remember to use a card that earns at a high rate on office supply store purchases. Or stack with a Chase Offer or use your Amex Business Gold for the $20 office supply credit.
Hat tip to FM
Does anyone know how to reach a live agent? I absolutely can’t get a pass on the automated system.
For Staples? Have you tried chat?
Never had an issue for Staples. I would bet they are talking about the card issuer.
my store still charge fee on MC card. Does this offer only apply to fixed 200$ card? The MC card in stock is 25-200 variant amount card
Only works on the fixed $220 cards. My store stocks them only once per day but has many behind the counter. Try asking cashier if you don’t see them on the floor.
giftcardmall.officedepot.com
anyone know if these count towards 5x on inks?
IIRC, that site does not count as office supply. They used to run $10 off $100 deals and didn’t count in the past. Again, if I recall correctly.
My store said it wasn’t giving the discount if you tried to use both at once by buying 18 in one transaction. They let me split it into 2 separate transactions of 9 cards each.
Note Visa is just until 12/28
Looks like paypal p2p no longer working for pathway vgc
Only the Mastercard offer is good until January 4th. The VISA offer ends on December 28th
OD deal is better 👀
So 18 cards per store?
Curious how do you all unload these ? I’m assuming easiest to pay internet and utilities bills?
I pay at Costco to get extra 2% cb
How did you get extra 2%cb?
I use them to buy lottery tickets in Arizona. You can use a debit card but not a credit card. Using my Chase Ink card gets me 5% cash back at office stores and puts me 5% ahead playing the lottery.
I load my Costco shop card with them. I also use them for medical, utility bills, groceries, gas, eating out, pretty much services of any kind.
Costco and grocery stores for us. My wife used one for a clothing purchase once online and learned the hard way when she wanted to return the item.
