Staples Stores are now carrying variable load $20-$500 Visa gift cards with a $5.95 purchase fee, according to GC Galore. I don’t know if this is rolled out in all Staples stores across the country or only a few select stores. Let us know what you see.
Previously the max card in-store was $200 and online $300. The fees took a bigger bite on the purchase with the lower limits. On the $500 cards it’s just a $5.95 fee for $500 spend.
This is an awesome way to turbocharge points earnings by paying with a card that earns a bonus at office supply stores, such as the INK Cash/Plus. Staples stopped selling the $500 cards a while back, and now they’ve brought them back. We’ll see how long it lasts this time.

After a good run, my friendly FL Staples Mngr says these are no longer sold at his store and haven't been for a little while. Appreciate any DPs if people have seen these recently.
Has anyone seen these $500 variable Visas at Staples lately? My usual store doesn't seem to have them anymore.
Anyone able to liquidate these at Walmart buying MO? I get a message that the transaction was declined.
Hopefully Staples will also sell $500 MCGCs in the future as well.
That’s what I’m really hoping for. The $500 visas are useless to me but the $500 MCGCs I can use to pay my rent with no fee.
Finally saw them at my local Staples. Would be great if there were promos that cover the activation fee on these $500 cards but I doubt it.
I bought 3 of these today. The cashier needed assistance, so I ended up with a tag team of 3 cashiers. They must have done something weird, because I got the $5.95 only on the first card. Total was $1505.95.
It happened again. Bought 4x$500, charged $2005.95. Anybody else getting this?
That happened to me last month but unfortunately today got charged $5.95 x4.

Much more challenging now with velocity limits, max swipe ceilings or no swipe, etc........Good luck!!!
Yes. Can't buy MO using these at walmart. Can't use them to buy anything online either (even after registering the card). Not sure what the issue is
My local Staples had a stack of $500 Visas. I have not been able to find the fee free $200 Visa/Mastercards for a year. Metabank must be promoting these 500$ cards!!
Found the $500 visas as well. Along with $20-$200 MC variables
At an Staples near SoFi Stadium today I noticed 2 things.
1) They had a lot of MetaBank 50-500 Visa GCs available.
2) They had dozens of $200 Mastercard GCs available even though the no fees promo ends on the 22nd.
